Ran my D3.5 in my 12th scale tonight and wow. The amount of rip I had out of the corners and the speed down the straight. This is a great motor. Now Im looking forward to running a 1cell from you in the car with this motor.

Thanks Again Eric.

Any of you guys running 12th blinky care to share your timing settings?

I tested my 17.5 D3.5 in 12th a few weekends ago, but only got to try out a few different configs. I started @ 15* timing on the can and tried 97.5, 99, and 101.5mm rollouts... but couldn't get the motor to produce the same lap times as my Revtech or Reedy. After the racing was over, I upped the timing to 20* and the motor really woke up and lap times fell about 1.5-2 tenths. However, I suffered a bit towards the end of the run with fade.

What are yall seeing as the sweet spot for timing on these for 1S/12th?

Im not sure how much this will help but I am running my 12th in blinky but we use 13.5's at my track. I am running it with a LRP SXX esc. The motor is set to 15 deg of timing and a rollout of 83.

The D3.5 you have might need a higher rollout. What are your temps after a 8min run?

The motor came off about 8-10 degrees cooler than my usual temps for other motors. I never saw it get above 130F... maybe 128F was the highest.

I do need to get more track time with it, obviously, to test some different rollout/timing combos.

Are you running a fairly new racing pack that you could get relaible info offof or the pack u ran last seasona sat a couple months??? cause that might damper the HP... Also u said u started at 15 degrees from stock or u actually went back to neg 15 degrees not 45 degrees? remeber guys cant judge a new product with old or worn out other stuff.. even tires old drried out tires will slow ya down..

Hey Angelo! I was running a fresh OHP pack, < 10 cycles. When I say 15*, I mean 15 on the can... so 45* total.

Ill be running again this weekend and will try the D3.5 again. I have plenty of faith that it will be a fast motor. Just need to find the sweet spot.

D3.5 17.5's will be here Tuesday. The website will be done over the weekend or early next week and products should start showing up there...especially motors. Batteries are on order. Look for some type of Grand opening special on the website for battery preorders.

I can vouch for James that his packs are about as good as they come. I ran them on my turbo 35 aftger the races and the numbers were just what you'd expect from a fresh OHP pack.

Also are you building any mod brushless motors that would be great for Outlaw Sprint on foams. Mostly use 4.5,5.0 and 5.5. Not racing until late Oct. but looking for some new stuff to try.
