Exclamation HELP!

Eric,

Have a question. I have a stock CO27 motor that has exteme brush
bounce on the negative side only!. Brushes have been broken in and
are new "F" brushes. It' so bad you can hear the brush bounce. Not sure what to check or do first. Any advise would be great!

Got my new motor in yesterday. Can't wait to test for TCS this
weekend. Any suggestions on what FDR to start at for the Tamiya track?

Thanks

Hey Max,

Are you sure its brush bounce and not arching? It could be from the brush hood being out of alignment.

For the KD at Tamiya I would start around a 6.40 and go from there.

Good luck this weekend!!

Default On the Way!!

I have a very small order of motors coming in Thursday. I have put them on the site for those guys that have been waiting for motors. I'll have a few C027's (EAM-2006 C stock) and a few Roar Epic Stocks (EAM-2002 R Stock). I also have some more of the X Stock's (EAM-2008 X Stock Motor).

Thanks

Eric,

On your site it mentions Modified Motors. Do you still do anything with these, or just strictly stock and 19T?

If I send my modifieds into you, do you rezap those as well?

Thanks,
Paul

Hey Paul,

I can rebuild Mod motors as well. I am getting ready to release my own line of Mod's. I do not wind anything myself. Unlike so many other's out there that claim to I will not try to take credit for someone else's work. Curtis at DCMotorsports winds everything I sell thats handwound. He does an excellent job and is one of the best.

What STOCK motors work best with F-Brushes? While I'm at it I might as well ask what brush, motor and spring setups you guys prefer? I personally run TC and T4 truck on a small/medium fairly tight track if it matters. Just interested in some ideas of where to start with different motors.

F brushes work with all stock motors. Its what I use in everything here at the shop and at most races. Sometimes if its real hot or the F brushes just are not working (usually never ) then we may go to a 767 or XXX brush. XXX brushes are for extreme heat and mostly only in 19 turn motors.

For TC we usually run a full face brush or .010 off the trailing edge and a 2mm hole in the face at the races. On very very high bite carpet we just run full face and purple springs. Other than that the above cut and red springs works pretty much everywhere.
