Actually there are not any legal 19 turns for Roar....The C2 will be the first of the year I believe. They didnt submitt it till late his past year. But of all the 19 turns out there ONLY the C2 actually meets all the roar rules.

Thanks...theres the answer....So the C2 is a roar legal motor and also the only one that meets roar rules....The new Integy motor will meet them as well along with the New Trinity 19 turn when it comes out in a few more months (at least I hope it meets roar rules).

Just got my first two Atlas motors in. How are you guys gearing these as compared to the C2s? How many teeth larger or smaller on the pinion?

Gear these around a 1.25 roll out....depend on track size. So 2-3 teeth more than a C2. The same gear as a Reedy quad magnet.

hey Eric,
Just to let you know, I'm getting some of your IB38's off of colin to try... badly need new batts at the moment, seriously suffering a lack of punch from my (very) well worn GP33's.
Quick Q, any tips on how to store/charge them? Going to mainly be doing 19t this year, so I'm thinking 6A might be a bit high (it's what i usually charge at atm).

Also, what you doing up so late? it's almost 5am here....

I would charge at 6 amps max...its what I use for stock and 19 turn. Set the peak detection at .03 or 20-30mV's. You want the pack to reach around 125-130 degrees F when it peaks. Discharge the pack down to 5.4 (.9 per cell) after you run it and store it like that unless you are not going to use it for several weeks. If your not going to use it then put 500 seconds of charge back into the pack before storage.

I also put them on an equalizing tray before I charge them everytime to get them slightly warm and equal.

Its only 10.50PM here!!

You are right on....

Thats the way to charge and upkeep IBs. There is something about 6Amps that the IBs just like. We have tested from 3 to 8 and have found 6A to be the best all around. 6Amps works for ALL Classes... unless you have weak IBs, then you need to go to 5+.

Eric,

The Epic Stocker I got from you is still going strong, got me TQ tonight. I do think these motors fade a little with time as my older ones are going soft. The only other I have which may be a little better is only a month old. It seems like it is lasting well.

Hey Chris,

The magnets seem to go a little faster in the Roar stocks than other motors. It could be from less Iron in the armature causing it...but I am not sure. You can just send the cans in and I can rezapp them and I bet they will be good as new again.

Eric,

That sounds like it could be right as my older ones (8 months or so) are definity softer than my newer ones (One of them being my EA). I am going to be switching over to Monsters soon as it will be the stock motor for the nationals so I'm not going to worry about zapping for right now. What do you think about putnam brushes? I generally use the 767, I have used the xxx brush which I like but I never got 30 runs with them which makes them too expensive for me.

Thanks,

Chris
