Default New Team Driver

Thanks, John. I will do my best to promote your awesome packs. They put me into both A main Stock Touring and A Main 12th scale this past weekend.

Default dead shorting

John,

What do you think about dead shorting the 3300's for touring 19T?

While technically I cant recommend shorting your cells for liability reasons I will say this. There are potential gains in performance to be had by doing it correctly. I have tested some with it and have seen some gains on some packs, big gains on a couple and no real gain on a couple. If runtime is not an issue for you try it on one pack and see what you get. Make sure to equalize the pack to zero before applying the short. If you are using our packs I have found that you can lace the cells from terminal to heatsink to heatsink........to terminal by using solder and running it under the cells. Kinda like lacing your shoes. This shorts every cell individually so no chance of reversing a cell. Once again I cannot reccommend doing this but I have outlined the method we used while testing.

I have been dead shorting all our packs with very good results. I tried an older pack first. Doing so brought it back to life, the capacity went through the roof and voltage was back also. I have been doing this for about 2month's and have not noticed any bad signs.

Hey Jim! You going to race Sunday?

Jamie, Good luck this weekend at Mimi's. I did deadshort some of my older packs. I don't know if it killed them or the cells were at the end of there life anyway. But they are not good enough for my starter box now. I have not deadshorted since I have been running Fusion - - kinda been afraid. I have watched Raul do it for a while on his Surge packs. I am not sure it is making him faster....

Raf!
I am hoping to race Sunday, but may have to babysit the phone for my job, I had the decks cleared for last weekend, but Mother Nature steped in. If i can't make it Sunday, I will be up Sat afternoon.
