I just returned from the local track and I did a test between the Fusion batteries and some Surge batteries. All I can say is my Fusions will make great practice packs because the Surge batteries have alot more punch and the run time is not a difference. Both brands of batteries have about the same numbers but I think the Surge packs are much stronger. Sorry Fusion but I think my money will now be spent with Surge.

Mantis-Sorry to hear that Fusion will be your practice packs. I assure you that no one else in my area has had the misfortune of having bad Fusioin Cells. Good luck with your Surge packs.

Please don't get me wrong. I never said and never will say Fusion makes a bad quality product. I own quite a few packs that are produced by Fusion and they are very good. I feel that in order to stay in the winners circle a racer should always be trying a different brand to see if a product works better or worse. I have never been the type to purchase my R/C equipment based on who ever has the biggest amount of advertising but I have found that as a bigger a company gets the lower the quality can actually become. I know Fusion has probably grown as a company and probably has alot of orders to fill. This is where the quality control standards can slip a little. Of course any Fusion pack that goes to a big race will be perfect quality because that race is advertising and bragging rights for who ever wins, but what about the smaller guys who can take the time to have better quality control, those are the people I find generally have a great product without the ego.

Mantis-Your point is well taken. However, I know the individuals responsible for the entire macthing and assembly process at Fusion and believe you me, there is no one person around that is more of a stickler for detail and perfection. The best part is Fusion does not let an ego stand in the way of a quality product.

regards,

Michael Abraira
