redline charge those at 5 amps for about 10 minutes and then put them away until you are ready to use them. Then when you are ready to use them discharge them first then charge them up fully.

Nope same still applies. The newer cells are marked better than 3300's though. Be advised.

Public safety has found that my talents are very useful. So My primary mode of employ is now working with the the public safety community. I am still however involved with Fusion In the R&D of new products and on going evaluations of matching procedures for best performance. In a way you could say that I am now a consultant to the company. That said I will answer any and all technical questions to the best of my ability. All team driver inquiries and orders need to be placed with Jeff or Judy.

I bought 3 packs of 3300's & 3 packs of 3700's then my wife was put into the hospital due to pregnancy complications and they sat without a charge for about 2 months. Yesterday when I went to use them at the 1st Round of our local Winter Off-Road series they acted very weird. I first put each pack on my Novak Smart Tray and discharged each cell to .9 then charged them on my Turbo 35 BL at 6amps to a PK Detect of .05 volts. I was getting a charge done message after anywhere from 400 to 2200 seconds!

Here are my charger settings as well as actual cycle numbers from a 3300 pack I cycled a few minutes ago:

Turbo 35 BL
CHARGE
1 Peak CHRG 6.0
Trickle N
Long LockOut N
Pk1 Detect V .05
TFLex1 N Level 1

DISCHARGE
AMP 30 6c
Cutoff V5.50 6c

Fusion 3300
AV 1.181 to 1.183 SEC 0422
Peak Chg V 9.14
Rel Int Res 166
Act Int Res 32.3
mA HR 3083
mW HR 3083
Dischg Time 370
DS AVE V 6.59
DS AVE @ IV 6.62
Supply Volt 14.39

A few questions...

1. How good/bad are these numbers for 3300's?
2. Any ideas for putting some life back into them?
3. If there are any Turbo 35 BL users out there what is the average time in seconds should it take to charge 3300's at 6amps? I was thinking 2200 seconds is about 10 mins too quick but I'm no expert.

Appreciate any help you can offer. Thank you!

I'm not sure about all those settings, but any charger with any battery will deliver 100 mah per minute at 6 amps.

If I figured it correctly it is 1980 seconds for 3300 at 6 amps (if it is constant charge)

James it wouls appear that your cells sat discharged for quite some time. Unfortunately 3300 do not seem to tolerate this very well. 3300 have a tendency to trade runtime for voltage after having been stored for long period without use. I would try cycling your packs a few times and using a good cell equalizing tray in between cycles. The run time numbers you showed were about what decent used 3300 are but the voltage numbers were very depressed. Please try cycling and then get back to me.

Now I see, thank you!

John, will do. Yes they sat discharged. No fault of Fusion just trying to do what I can to bring them back up to par. Hoping the Trinity Dyna Pulse will help.

Should I charge at a lower amp (maybe 4 or 5amps instead of 6) to help bring them back to life? What about lowering the Peak Detect to .03 or .04? What about discharging at a lower amp?

Thumbs down John Malin,FUSION so called TEAM?

Well john,I guess this is the only way we can talk!!???
I have emailed you several times, called and left messages 4 times, with NO results!!!!
But you sure can talk on here,so lets talk!!
I have asked you if a certain person was now on the team,w/no response again!
I have been waiting for batteries for 3 months now, plus you NEVER gave the raffle packs for FOCAR!!!!...
But I guess if you are an OVAL racer,FUSION could care less about you!!!!
I believe this is a case of,you being a so called on road racer, and fusions team manager, that you could care less about OVAL racers!!!!!!
And don't even respond with BS about how you do care about OVAL,and that you just went through a hurricane!!!!
Because this was 2 1/2 months before any of that!!!!!
I don't want anything from you,I am just PO'd,at the whole thing!!
You sure do talk a good game, but I think most of it is guessing(hot air)!!!
It is too bad the only way to communicate with you is through here,But I bet if I was an on road racer you would have sent what you promised and answered me by now!?
You don't need to respond, because I quite,I no longer wish to be a part of your one sided BS!!!.I have another sponsor who I think will honor both oval and on road EQUALLY!!!!!!
And I think any oval racer should know that they are not welcomed at fusion,in my personal opinion!!!!!!!!!!!!

Good luck!!!!!!!!!!!!!CYA!!!!!

Wow im glad i just pay for mine at 30-40 bucks a pack who needs sponsorship, when i started 4 years ago you couldn't get a 2000 nicad pack for that much, let alone matched, built, and kickin!
