Hey Brian, atleast you didn't blow a speedo at Nats.

Team SURGE had a good day here in the south. The trip to Dallas was a big sucess. At the end of 2/3 rounds Steve held the TQ for 19T Foam TC, and I held the TQ for Ex. Stock Truck all 3 rounds, and followed it up with a 1st place finish.

Oh your telling me....

No worries though, it was an old Cyclone and it was during practice quals. Came off the track and noticed that "smell". Motor was hot but not hotter than normal..so, turned off the switch and the truck went into full bore! I was like hmmm... It was then after I unsoldered the batterys that I realized I could cook hot dogs on the heatsinks of the speedo.

But that why we always carry extras

Yea. I just hate changing that stuff at the track. I'm such a neat freak that doing it at the track just don't allow me to install everything as nice.

Brian your proabably a wire neat freak like me.. I tend to grab my friends cars and put the wiring around a driver or something to smooth out the look.. Here's an example...

I would like to go to practice but work is busy. Two other problems is that I don't have my new bodies til Thursday and I need to get a receiver since my new XS3 Pro receiver took a dump already. Shop is working on getting JR to get me one ASAP. If JR don't take care of me in the next week or two I will be thinking hard about not using their stuff anymore.

Subliminal message [Futaba]

Love my 3PK. NEVER have problems with Futaba stuff in 15 years of racing.

I've run KO (which feel great BTW), Airtronics, JR, you name it.

Futaba rocks!

Kinda funny because in 18 years I have never had any brand receiver go bad. I did have a Futaba 3PJ and it was really nice. Little hard to program but awesome overall. I use to use Jr 756's and they were the hot rod radio for me but since they don't make them or have parts for them anymore I don't use them anymore. My Multiplex is really nice but not synthesized and that is the only real problem I have with that radio. Worst comes to worst I will use a normal reciever and either my new XS3 Pro or my Multiplex radio. Not sure which I will use.
