Mike,
Most of the guys run the CS32's up there. That is what I'm going to run. Dunningan was saying that they were getting 20-25 runs with a set of CS-32's. The RP's seem to give up after 6-8 runs. For what its worth Dunningan also said the tires are better on the 3rd or 4th run. Which doesn't make much sense. I will let you know after this weekend.

Default Race Results

I thought that I would post some results on here as it has been a long time since my last "big" race. This weekend I was in Dayton Ohio for the HPI Challence. This event had over 100 entered and was very competitive. The track was an out door sealed asphalt track with 2x4 berriers. The track was great. The Hobby Shop crew did a good job with it. I showed up bright and early on Fri. to get some practise in. The track was great and slightly easy to drive. But to drive fast was another thing. Practise on Fri was good and I got the setup on my cars down and they were set for qualifying on Sat. I left the track at about 8:00 pm as it had been a hard, long, and hot day with outdoor temps in mid 90s and track temps in the 130 range. I got to the track at 7:00 am Sat morning and left at 9:15 PM after qualifying with 3 rounds. I set 2nd overall in Factory Mod Sedan and 2nd in Factory Micro Mod. On Sun with one round of qualifying left my time got better but I was still 2nd overall in both classes. In the mains I got 3rd overall in Factory Micro Pro and 6th overall in Factory Mod Sedan with a DNF due to an overheated motor. So overall it was a good weekend. My cars were good, I had a lot of fun, and brought home a strong finish for Team Surge.

Guys, got some interesting reconstruction going on at Surge..... some website rebuilding as well as some new products coming... More to come shortly.... thanks for your continued support!

We have 2 battery zapping units left. 8/10 are now slated to be sold. If anyone wants one, please contact us.

BTW, to all team guys, please send me an e-mail. Our database of contact information was lost and I'm in the process of rebuilding it. Thanks!

Gary

its my fault! sometimes tinkering with computer equipment isn't always such a good idea!!

so guys, i believe it's safe to say there is going to be a new Surge family staff member soon. this person will be key in helping us grow and keeping up with the growth in the new areas we've been working on in the last few months (electronics design) we hope to seal the deal this week so maybe we will have an announcement soon.

oh yea, and we are looking to fill some more spots on our team. if you don't currently have a motor and battery sponsor, and are interested in going our family, please send over a resume or a detailed e-mail giving us all the basic specs on yourself and history in R/C. anyone who has sent one over info in the month or so, well you might want to consider sending it again because it was lost all our apps in the crash.
