w/ GT3 is all about how you tune your mabuchi motor w/ that you'll need a dyno to get the readings. so ill be looking for a dyno and w/ GT2 we did'nt start racing 'til 7:45pm at night, try racing at night w/ no lights let see if you see your car. but anyway i had fun and i qualified for finals because i made it in the A-main.
Those results are pretty good, congrats... Mabuchi motor huh? I haven't used one of those since I had a Tamiya Fox like 15 years ago. Can't believe people race with them!!

Well, this was a great weekend for Surge.....

Tq / 3 in the Express race 19turn class
Tq/ win in the 12th Mod class

Gary cooked up some killer cells to power my cars, and the ponies were all there in the motor department as well.

Though I would chime in and say What's Up. Hope all the Surge guys had fun at the Express race and did well.

Congrats Mike on 1/12 scale TQ and win, and 3rd in 19T.

A race update. Round 2 of the Carolina's Points Chase Series. Round 2 was at Emerald Farms in SC. I ran Stock Truck and Pro Truck with my nuclear powered truck (brushless and surge 3300's for Q's and a Li-Po for the 30 minute main running with gas trucks). I qualified 2nd in stock truck. I ran a good main, stayed up front, and finished 2nd in stock truck A main. I qualified 4th in the A main for Pro Truck (we had an A, B, C mains). Had an awesome start and got out 2nd. I ran 2nd for about half of the race. Went from 2nd to 7th in two laps without any mistakes (@$^#*!). Well it seems that my transponder started missing my laps. It seem to have missed about a third of my laps after that. After the main I ended up in 8th with a lot of missed laps from the computer. I looked over the computer print out and it seems I really ended up around 5th in the A main (bad luck for me again after running very strong). I had a blast though and thanks to Surge for once again having all the power I need.

Well, here we are back around again for the start of another weekend. What a fun weekend, props go to the Jackson R/C crew and to express for putting on an enjoyable race. As usual, Jackson's facility was in top shape, was clean and had lots of traction! Only a few Surge drivers were able to attend, one Surge driver in particular, Mr. Mike Haynes, showed his asphalt talent and tore up the track winning 12th scale, TQ and finishing 3rd 19t. Keith Trapp also put in a strong finish in stock 3rd place B main. After racing my TC only one since March, I managed to squeeze out a couple decent runs and put myself in the B in stock.. When the main came around, for some reason my transponder took a crap and my laps didn't count! Oh well... What I found interesting is how much the track changed between during the course of the weekend, and how the temperature affected the performance of the cars. Those night races we're ballistic! Anyway, hopefully I'll be able to attend more Sunday touring car races at Jackson this summer -- Can't beat outdoors racing, it's so much better then being inside all day! Looking forward to the next big event...

Gary,

It was great meeting you, and some of the guys on the team this past weekend. I'm also glad that I could help with the stock gearing issue. Hope to see you at another track sometime. Your a class act!

Keith,

I hope to make it up to Debbies with Jimmy again. I know he was dissapointed that he wasn't able to make the Jersey race. I wish he would have gone, I would have had some help with the setup for the Yokomo. It sucked being the only Yokomo at the race. I know I shouldn't complain!!
