Werd, another victory by the haynes man.. boy you just keep racking 'em up!

I probably won't see you until the nats. I have so much going on lately I've simply been juggling the different things I need to get done. Making it out to LI just doesn't seem as if it would work with my schedule.

So another week has passed fellow Surge-ites.. We're making process on the new zapping system, waiting on hardware to be finished. As soon as all the pieces come in, we're going to put it all together and see we've come up with!

For all who don't know, we're pleased to announce the entrance of our new motor tuner, Mike Collins. For those of you who don't know, Mike is a fully sponsored Surge driver who has loads of regional and national level victories. He's been involved in R/C for an very long time, and has proven a very valuable asset to our team. Wind up those motors and let em rip, Mike!!

Other good news - The Surge website has been updated including pricing, news and of course FAQ's. I have a few of the FAQ's to add, but I probably won't do so until mid week.

Also, we got a lot of stuff on sale right now!! Great deals on the lower grade batteries - Come grap them while they're still avail.

X-ray bearings and 19t motors should be posted for sale by the end of the week. We we also have bulk 767 style brushes, and a very special assortment of other brushes including the "X" brush.

The 19turn motors are Atlas based. I hear they have tons of torque and need lots of gear

The good thing with the Surge 19T is that the locking tab is removable with an Exacto. So if your class or track allows adjustable timing, then you can crank it to add some RPM and reduce torque.

I can vouch that the atlas 19's are torque monsters. They are a really great motor. I'm sure with mike doing the tuning they will be very competitive.

Alright now Mike send me the $25 you said you pay me if I came on here and said that!!!

all kidding aside the atlas motor is pretty good.

Mike,

are the atlas motors roar legal? I can't keep up with the goofy rules now. Only one I'm for sure on is the C2... I know they've been letting the reedy fat comm 19's run at roar races also.

Let me know?

Michael

I don't think ROAR has an approved list for On-Road 19T motors. They do have a list for oval...but it's goofy. Having said that, the motor does meet all specs...Locked timing, tagged/inspectable arm, 19Turns of single wire, bearings, etc...

I understand that the numbers that need to be sold to get a motor ROAR approved is very high...in effect it really limits "approved" motors to those that come from the top manufacturers---in this case Ernie P. and Yokomo.

(Is Paypal okay, Michael?)

The only actual ROAR legal 19 turn motor is the Trinity C2. The reedy doesnt meet the specs because of the quad magnets although they are letting it be run at the Nats. The Atlas motor does meet the specs but hasnt been submitted or have the 5000 piece min in the US to be Roar legal.

You all have fun at the Nats!!
