The one thing I noticed about this car (even more so than my TC3) was that it really likes to run on *small* tires: 54-56mm. I started the tires out at 57.5 thinking that would be adequate and it was a little floaty. By the time I was to 56mm the chassis felt poised and smooth.

Also, running the tires really small seems to allow you to keep the shock collars further down on the bodies making more room for ride-height adjustments. Again, totally different animal than my Associated car.

You gonna buy Dennis' car, Lar?

Its not for sale as far as I know, he's nice enough to be letting me run it while I'm trying to decide what car I want to get. My XXXS is sold so right now I dont have a car really. I plan on running offroad for most of December so I'm not too worried about buying a car until I know what I want. I'll probably use the Krantzels Orl race as my drop.

Hey Jon, just watch out for tire size at c-land, they do have a minimum.

We are heading up around 5 Sunday morning. No staying over this week. we should be bringing several people from our track. So we should have a group. jon, if you are there Sat, make sure to save our table area, I know I left my table and extsion cord there, not sure if Punky did too or not.

Default Charging rate

What charge rate is best to get the most out of the Surge batteries?

I am fairly new to electric racing and I have read the the higher the AMPs, the more punch and the lower the AMPs, the longer the run time. But, what I would like to know is, does any of this affect the life of the cells?

Thanks

As far as charge rate, 6A is really what you want to go with most of the time. The life of the cell is really not affected much at all by a 1A difference.

As you said, the higher the charge rate the higher the voltage and the converse is true as well.

A Master key can open any lock, but a lock that can be open by any key is an sloppy lock.

Most likely I won't be there tomorrow. But I will be there bright and early on Sunday morning. If anyone can save me a spot that would be great.
