Wow Nathan! Impressive stuff dude. Hard to describe how great I think my motor is without spewing obscenities

It will most likely make you spew obscenities.....

Just got off the phone with Juan and Cornell at the New Jersey Gran Prix Festival where they ran RCGT.

The reported back that the landed podium finish down there with Juan in 3rd and Cornell in 2nd.

Great Job Guys!

I also spoke with Arvin Nano and AJA Archibald earlier today and their event got rained out and the awarded trophies according to qualifing...Arvin TQ'd 17.5 after the third round giving him 1st place and Aja 10th in Mod A-main.

Good work guys, just another example as to what's to come here in the near future!

See you guys at the Memorial Day Race!

Had a pretty good day today on the loose dirt oval. The 13.5 performed awesome, but after qualifying 3rd out of roughly 25 EDMs I finished 6th in the A. About half way through my car got a little too loose and was hard to get through traffic, plus I was tied up in everone elses mistakes. But all in all a great day.

I also found out Arvin Nano is currently sitting TQ down at the N.C. State On Road Challange in 17.5. Great job Arvin...keep your cool and bring home the win!

You dont need them! You are fast enough already

That was a good run. I needed another min to race it out. Used up my mojo just getting by Ron.

Hey guys! Well i was able to give one of Nate's BOSS MOTORS a run last weekend at the NC race. From the start, the motor was excellent! This was the 17.5 version motor. It held well throughout the practices, barely getting over 150degrees. Played with some profile changes and gearing just a bit going into the 3rd qualifier which i was able to reset TQ! (the only one that pulled off 20 laps!) After the 3rd qualifier some were comparing motor temps.
Racers were finding temps between 160-200 degrees!!! A local racer and i rechecked mine and found the temp to only be... get this!! 130degrees after 6 minutes!! Thats why during the run, i was able to keep squeezing the throttle and finishing strong!!! What else can you ask for especially while trying to reset TQ!
As for NATE, you cant ask for more support from a straight up guy!! We kept in good communication all weekend and gave me FULL confidence to pull off the WIN! (Unfortunately the main was canceled due to rain.. but the car and power was even better in open practice before the mains had started) Final results were taken by qualifying results!
Working with Nate and Team driver Larry... you really cant ask for anything more!!

Thanks to Nate(BOSS MOTORS) and Larry!!

Arv.

I imagine you guys are all Tekin, but here's what I came up with on an SXX-SS Mk3. It's faster than I've ever been able to get my DUO1+Tekin, and feels a lot better in the first 75% of the throttle. BOSS 17.5.

Rubber tire TC on carpet, 96' straight. FDR 6.6. 0-6-9-2. Full timing on motor. Comes off around 160F w/fan after 6 minutes and rips everywhere.

When I ran my SP motor with Tekin on a indoor track that size. I ended up with motor temps from 120 to 130. I'm running the SP/BOSS motors with a SP speed control now and motor temps at 170. Track size 140x70.

I Ran 17.5 on a short track and was the fastest in lap times against 13.5's, eventhough sometimes going slower makes you faster, I still think you did your homework and got a good thing going from nothing and I'm glad to be starting in the "mail room" with the first run of BOSS Motors!

Keep doing what your doing and they will come x2

MY HORSHAM settings with a BOSS 13.5 and v203!
speedo timing..........50
boost........................10
delay.........................0.0
end ramp..................17,000
begining....................4,000
3.0 on the power!
6.8 FDR.......sorry
1.7 internals, XRAY 08'/09'
temp.................125 deg. after 6 min.

where's my BOSS t-shirt
Still running the same 17.5 from day one, the second motor out the chute!!! and it's still going strong, I couldn't ask for a more dependable work horse going from race to race and practice to practice, even took it back to Nate and re-checked it and it still put's out the same numbers!!! gives me one less thing to think about especially in the HEAT of the moment, 100% what the doctor ordered.

Like Arv. said "There is a replacement for DISPLACEMENT......BOSS MOTORS"

ps. I got my BOSS t-shirt, body vinyl and 13.5
