Yes to the way it feels. Mine is the same way. It's the torquiest 21.5 I have used. I would think you could prob gear higher on your f1 then with a normal motor. If you gear It normal you might get too much low end and have trouble keeping it straight on acceleration. With a taller gear you could tame the low end down but gain some rpm. When used in my USGT it was geared much taller then the others I have tried.

I ran mine at 1.5mm past the last notch. Which according the EA was right about 50*-55* motor timing.

What FDR range do you use for USGT with that timing?

Is there anything online that explains the adjustments on the VXX other than the paper manual?

I used the 17.5 TX motors in my buggy and short course truck this weekend at the Spektrum race. I did end up in the A of short course but couldn't pull it off in buggy. I had some top 10 runs but when you tallied up the points I was on the outside looking in. Oh well...I wasn't disappointed in the motors performance at all!

Ryan what fdr did you run? I started at 3.44 then went up to 3.36 and it seems slow (lap times) timing is at 1mm pass the + mark.
Track is 140x70 and motor came off at 130* after a 7 minute main

In Nashville I ran mine at 3.72. I felt I had plenty oh speed and the infield still had plenty of rip. I was coming off at 135*. I could have prob added another tooth and been completely happy. I just don't like running my motors past 150* and thought adding more teeth would have got too hot. There were guys running in the 3.4 to 3.5 in Nashville and I didn't feel any slower then them.
