Ah, ok. I'll get the box and the USB adapter, then. Maybe that'll be a good reason to switch to ORCA in general.

just picked up a TX 21.5 for my mini (M05)... had my timing 2mm past the +... its was fast but comparing it to a buddy that had thunder power... it was drastically slower ... my mini temp was at 157.... what am i doing wrong????

did i buy the wrong motor... how different is the thunder power compared to the orca... the fast guys at my local track recommended ORCA TX that is why i bought it but i didnt tell them that it was going in a Mini which does not have any gearing options. everyone runs a 20 pinion... it works awesome for my Ta05... but with my mini.... no luck

Has anybody tried the 25mm aluminum esc fan? I hope its as durable as they say because I keep breaking fans on my 4wd 1/10 buggy. Does anybody know the max voltage this fan can handle or should be ran at? I can't find that info anywhere. Thanks.

I think all the 25 mm fans are 5v. They'd be little turbines directly off the battery and probably melt shortly afterward

The dead giveaway on the voltage is the connector it comes with though.

Got to say this past weekend was the first weekend running ORCA batteries, speedo and motor. I was extremely impressed and looking forward running them again! Can't wait to get a 5.0 in my car and try it out as well.

Thats what I thought until I measured my esc fan pins and they measured 8.1volts with the fan running. I have plugged fans into them and burned them up in one run and I wondered why. I am however running a Hobbywing so maybe their fans and voltage is different than most others. And they use the exact same plug as Orca so I don't think that means much.

Could some measure for me the voltage their Orca esc puts out at the fan? I would much appreciate that. I don't want to bur this very expensive fan up. Thanks

So I've used the ORCA VXX for two race weekends now and has been working great. I am wondering what the normal load time is for advanced setting changes on the speedo when using the programming box. It takes a little over a minute for the sending of the changes to complete. Is that normal?

I am running 4.1 software on the speedo. I also tried changing between 4.0 and 4.1 to see if there was any difference in the two with load times but there is not.

Definitely not normal. Mine takes a few seconds to complete.

Is there any special instructions on how to update the speedo/program box? PC requirements?

Where did you purchase it through? All repairs must go through ORCA in Canada. I can email you the contact information for them as well.
