I've watched probably 10 to 15 videos on motor testing recently. Not a single one of them showed or mentioned timing built into the sensorboard. The timing test result is the timing set on the can. So, it's a new one on me. Not saying it's bad or anything, just new to me.

Oh well, live and learn!

With the can etching compensating for the sensorboard no reason to worry about it 😀 I remember running the d3.5... That had 18* too.

I've never seen them match. The closest match I've personally seen was out by about 5 degrees.

It it common practice to monitor the current draw of a motor and adjust the timing to target a particular amp draw, say 6amps, at full throttle?

It used to be. It's not recommended anymore, as the 6A guideline doesn't apply to the current generation motors.

Any recommendations on gearing for the TSR 13.5 The 1 2.0 in a B64 wheeler? I'm currently at an 81/24 and it comes off in the 140s at the very hottest spots i can find, most of the motor is 110-130s. I feel like i'm a bit low on gearing, no one i know is that low at our track, but if i go any higher say 78/24 or 78/25, i think i might start getting too hot.

What size track and what surface?
Do you use a fan on the motor?

I’m at 23/78 with a fan on my b64 on a 100x50 track hard pack dirt, medium grip with only one straight , turning 22,950rpm, I was thinking about going to 22/78

What are you guys doing to offset the weight of the 8200mah batterys in tc? With moving my esc outwards and adding a ton of weight to the electronics side my minimum weight I can achieve is 1400g. That's with titanium and aluminum screws on chassis.

I know locally guys run the 6000 packs so they can balance the cars. Not many run over that (284g or so). When they do run a larger size pack the motors are shimmed over 2 or 3mm and the battery is slammed in close as possible to the center of the chassis and run the lightest body possible. I hate to say it you're gonna have to move the electronics outward Moving the motor makes a big difference, have you tried that?

haven’t tried shimming out motor yet. Esc is hanging off side with weight stuck to it. The 6000mah just don’t seem to have the punch through the entire run that I need.
