The bearings in all the 2.0 motors are ceramic Hybrid.
Some guys have said they like the Avid motor bearings.
I think they are 5 bucks a piece.
I haven't tried them, but have worked on motors guys put them in.
You will need a light drop of oil each run with them, they do become slightly noisy, but performance looked good.

So, 1/8x3/8 are the full dimensions of the motor bearings? Also, what do you you recommend for gearing? I run on turf. Medium sized track. My TS1 came at 47° timing

At 47* try a 72 or 76 with a 26 or 27 to start.

I'm geared at 28/72 on a small/med sized track (13-15 sec lap times) on astroturf, using TSR The 1 2.0. Most guys using that motor generally gear 27-30/72 for our track with that motor. Hope that helps some.

49* I have never really messed with the timing on either my 1.0 or 2.0 The 1 motors because they come specifically tuned on a motolyser from John so i feel its best not to mess with it but thats just me.
I would also want to see motor temps come off less than 150 or so after a 5-6 minute run.
I might even go down to 27 or 26T
