Great race day for Team Scream at NORCAR's 3rd annual Hangover Dash!

TQ, win, and 2nd place in 1/12 17.5!
TQ, win, and 3rd place in WGT!

In 1/12 17.5 the hot set up was the Trinity based D3.5 with 12.5mm HT rotors. We used 2 different timing / gearing set ups and both worked great!

In WGT the stock purple ring rotor with max. timing was the ticket.

fyi, your PM box is full, so new PM's cannot be sent to you.

I was trying to find out how to order a 17.5 motor like you just reported on. (the website is a little vague on rotor selection, etc)

I just cleared out some old PM's

If you want to go with a D3.5 17.5 with 12.5mm HT for 1/12 I can take care of it.

You can now shoot me a PM

Wayne,
What are your thoughts on running a 12.3 HT vs. 12.5 HT rotor in 1/12th scale?

To be honest I haven't tried the 12.3 HT in 1/12.

I do have a motor set up to try at our next club race (in 2 weeks).

The only advantage I see on the dyno is under light loads, a slight RPM gain, but it falls off under heavier loads and got warmer faster.

What kind of motor timing are you testing at?

I'm going to try the 12.3 HT at:

25* and 90mm rollout
20* and 95mm rollout
15* and 105mm rollout

(These are slightly lower rollouts then what I'd try the 12.5 HT at for our track size)

The 15* timing looked the strongest on the dyno.

I can adjust timing and gearing, but that's what I'll throw at it to start.

The 15*, 20* & 25* timing designation, are these the timing marks on the endbell?

Thanks in advance. The information you post is very much appreciated.
