question, I have a "The One" V3 13.5 with the 4 line rotor. I will be running it in 1/12th oval open, with boost etc. Do i need to change rotors, and what should I start out timing on the motor at?

The 12.5 4 line may be too strong for open timing. Maybe a weak 12.3 would be a better choice. In open classes most of the time starting around 16* on the motolyser is a good starting point.

What Settings do you suggest for the esc?

Got my 4.5T today and am looking forward to running it. Question, Is it safe to assume that this is a 2 pole motor? Searched and found no answers.

Taking my 17.5 V3 out of my SC to put in my TLR 22 5.0. What’s a good timing/gearing to start with. Track is 100x45, indoor clay with med/high grip. Thanks

Another solid outing with the Team Scream 5.5 motor and 8500 batteries. Qualified 2nd and finished 2nd against the best high-bite dirt oval racers in the country. Thanks again for the pieces I need to make it happen.

Buckland and LonnyJ1950 like this.

Default TSR ‘THE 1’ SMC LOW RIDER 13.5t

Hi,

does anyone have more info on these motors?

so do the ‘THE 1’ smc motors receive the same treatment as TSR ‘THE 1’ motors?

John is tuning the motors and they’re quite good, We’ve tried high torque rotor (prototype) with excellent results. No ceramic bearings yet but the installed bearings are also quite good. Bearings have been ordered as well as high torque rotors, so both are on the way. ROAR approval will be the final step. Chris S

I thought the motor came with all the option parts needed to be classed as the ‘The one’?

I remember speaking to John via Facebook That the sensors board will be aligned. I know the stock rotor that came with the SMC was a bit weak so was planning on having a rotor that was similar to your 4line rotor.

I want to get the motor with all the option parts installed.....a very nice Christmas present for myself.😀
