Try going up more on timing. Set it to 45* on can and a 26-78 to start.
Run a few minutes and check motor temps.
If you are running cool, 100* or so, and lacking rip and top end add 5* more timing, if it's running 120* or more drop 5* of timing.

Cool, I will try that tomorrow, thanks for the help!
26-78 is a pretty high FDR for a 17.5 from what I have seen... so is the V1 a high revving motor? I'm just curious, not questioning the advice by any means!

The motor doesn't have tons of RPM.. You will just be at tons of timing to gain the RPM so you will need a much different FDR
You total timing will be close to 62 to 64*

Default Just ordered 2 v3 the one motors

Good day,
I just ordered two motors last night...a 13.5 and 17.5 the one motors. Two questions
1) what's the eta on these motors.
2) I run on carpet stock buggy and stock truck. Our track is high grip and has 100 foot straight with lots of infield semi technical. I am new to the brand so I was wondering about gearing for both these vehicles. In my current motors I'm geared 72/29 for buggy and 78/23 with truck. I understand motors pretty well as I've been in the hobby for 30 yrs just wanted some insight as I have never ran tsr motors.

thanks much Dwaine

Motors ordered today will be shipped Monday.
Buggy: If the infield is needed, 28-29/72.. if you need more straight try a 30-31/72
Truck: We went to 75 spur.. try that with a 22 to start.

Just a standard SS shield, if you want rubber shields they are a standard size (1/8 x 3/8)

Are there new 17.5/13.5 4.0s coming for this fall/winter indoor season?

Are the new aluminum cased fans avaiable for order?

What is the most popular/best shorty lipo pack to get for off-road?
