For specific situations they are beneficial, overall it reduces the weight.

got my 2 new "team works" ones end of last year. My advice is perhaps its better not to rush it. I've now had problems with both of mine (one died after less than 2 minutes of use first time out). The other one had a shim come loose and lock the rotor first time i used it - lucky i was just testing it at the time and saw it stop immediately. Im trying to get in contact with them to get it sorted but they are swamped.

I've been a long time fantom user (v2 and v3 motors) and know they make some quality kit. I've never pre-ordered before though so have usually got the motors after all the kinks have been ironed out. I expect the current volume of processing might be to blame, and hopefully they will be able to sort things out.

....This thread is a such a contrast to the Trinity thread. I hope it stays this way.
I've been endlessly pleased with my V3r's and ICON's. It makes for an enjoyable evening at the club when you are not suffering for power on tap!

Need to update this thread after my last post.

Troy from random got back in contact With Me and asked me to send .y motor back. He diagnosed the problem quickly, fixed it and got it back to me.

Really pleased with his approach and turn around. Haven't had a Chance to test it as of yet but hoping to see good things. On the motor tester it's definitely faster now. At 4256kv it's the fastest rpm 13.5t I've seen.

How are the new touring stators performing vs the old ones ??? Are the numbers comparable???

I just received my replacement FR-1 v3r tour motor with the old illegal stator that I can use for bashing... Thanks to the Fantom team for their exceptional diligence and prompt service.....

Hi ,I have a brand new fantom fr1 v3t works plus edition 17.5 part number FAN19414WP.
Now my question is ,is it roar approved ? Because I can find the standard team edition on the roar list but not the works plus edition .
and help would be appreciated.

I know the v3r 17.5t tour motor is legal.....The v3t 17.5t works plus is also legal...Good luck guys, the numbers are awesome....
