I'm pretty sure the only difference is the color of the label I think the yellow/orange label was the color when they first released the Ion 3 motors and the blue/black label is just the newer color. For a faster response from their technical support you can email them at [email protected] Jeff is usually good about getting back to people within a day or two

Feel bad triple posting here but no one else has posted for almost two weeks... So I got my T4 out to the track today and put it through three packs (Fantom 5200 50c x 1 and 2x 5400 25c's) and gotta say, these things gave me a crap ton of punch and run-time with a great top speed (I was outstripping 1/8th scale Buggies and SCT tonight ). I just can't wait for the Ion 3 to be in stock again on the fantom site so I can get my new 8.5! If anyone needs any help or advice speak up! I'm feeling pretty lonely in this thread...

Thats right Warren, Fantom power was very fast at the last Mid West Grand Slam race. Only thing holding me back is me...if only i could hire a driver, LOL.

Stock truck with 17.5 ion. As soon as handy racing gets the videos done Ill put a link up for them.

It was my first Time at Ams raceway for the 8th anual Big kahuna race.
This has been one of the most competitive races iv ever been too. We had 41 racers in 1/8 electric alone. I qualified 3rd in the b main in 1/8 and blew a diff and finished 10th. I finished fourth in the b main of mod truck with a 13.5 ion3.
