The race packs have lower IR. But the lower priced packs aren't too bad.

Ok, I have been running my new ION5 (D4) works with pro HT stator and rotor in 13.5 TC and it's great! I would imagine that there must be some timing/FDR combinations trickling in by now for 13.5 Blinky so where is everybody talking about it? Is everyone staying quiet to maintain an advantage over other D4 competition? I have never seen a forum so silent about a bad ass new motor.

let's hear how everyone is getting on with these new power mills!

Questions?? 17.5TE Pro Spec -- Short Stack -- 12.5 Pro Select Rotor -- Gearing

About to order some D4's (desc in title) and was wondering where should I start with gearing in 17.5 Blinky. 7800 IP's. HW3.1 120A, TC indoor carpet 100X40 technical, rubber tires, 6mins. So far all I have found is 3.2 - 3.7 from trinity. Currently I've been running Team Powers Red Stars at 3.75-3.95 and the range from trinity seems a little more broad.

Start at 48/96 (3.8) and work from there, monitoring temps at 3 minutes .. timing at ~50 mark ... should get you close .. hope it helps ..!

Has anyone tried the new Fantom motors I was going to buy a 21.5 works motor today but I went too the website and I see an all new motor. So I need some info does the new motor have the same or better performance of the old motors and what gearing is needed for this motor for USGT on a technical track with a 135' straght.

Hey Adam, It was nice meeting you this weekend. You should try and make it out to Edmontons round for WCICS.

I just ran the works short stack 21.5 and it was good but if you can wait get the new 21.5R version with a 12.5HT. I wished I had it this past weekend for a ROAR Regional on-road race. I would also recommend a very small spur gear and large pinion combo almost like 1:12 gearing.

RPM and Torque. They tell you exactly what they mean on the website. Very defined really.
