SWEET! I was just about to order a couple motors. I'll wait for the new ones!

On a side note...I finished 5th with my 17.5 Ion2 at the ROAR Region 8 Champs. I was the running a LRP Sphere & everyone else had ESC's with timing/boost. And I had a shot to win 2 of the 3 mains!

I'm real excited to be on the Fantom Racing team and I'll be using Fantom products for my TC and 12th scale this year, so if anybody has any questions I'll be glad to help.

Best regards,
James Reilly

The Fantom Ion3 is a strong motor. At our recent Fall Classic at Mike's Hobby Shop in Dallas Tx, the only 2 Ion3's finished 2nd and 5th in the Amain in the "no timing" speedo 17.5 1/12 scale class. I don't know of anybody running one in the 17.5 TC class and we were not able to get a 13.5 version in time for the event.
You want regret getting one of the Fantom Ion3's. With the new designed housing(improved cooling)this motor will dominate in the speedo timing classes where you generate allot more heat.
Thanks Fantom racing for the prompt delivery on the new Ion3

The ion 3 dominated at this years Arizona State Championships at SRS. Team Driver Tim Hethcox took tq and 1st place in both 13.5 truck and 13.5 buggy. He had his buggy geared to the moon and could not gear it any higher. Temps were around 110 after a 6 min heat. If you guys havent had a chance to check them out, I would highly recommend it.
