I just got a DUO 2 17.5 motor and planning to use it for the upcoming club racing. The motor is acting like it is "senserless" mode...it will sit on the carpet for like 1-2 seconds before it launch...once it pass the sweeper, the car will go to complete stop then launch again.

I have tried to use different motor and they work fine, so it is NOT the speedo problem...changed 3 different brand new senser wire, the problem still the same...so it must be the motor or the senser part/end bell problem..

Motor is brand new....and also, the motor has no top end, like my battery is ran out of power (but my lipo is fully charged)

WHO in Epic should I contact for replacement or service..? And what number..? Thanks...

The Nemesis spec motors seem to be of very good quality and the performance is very good as well.

Cool Glad to be a part of Team Epic!

I still run the Brushed mod motors just got my first shipment in from Team Epic. It was nice that they threw in some extra brushes that I didn't even order...

I am going to like running for Billy Bruce.... Really nice guy....

I am looking forward to the 2010 racing season and switching over to brushless setup.....

Ive gotten two qualifiers in with my Nemesis 17.5 and I let 2 friends use my other ones. Paired mine with a Team Epic 5000 40c Lipo...

FAST.

Cool

Nice Syber,

Once I get my brushless setup I'll have to ask you about gearing for the so-cal tracks! I'm going to go with the nemisis 13.5 and 10.5 for short course!

talk to you soon...

ive got no experience with shortcourse and very little experience with 13.5 and 10.5. If you're doing any 2wd buggy or truck with 17.5 or onroad racing with 17.5, 13.5, or 10.5 then i can give you a gearing for that

i will agree ive only been running with Epic's name for about a month, but talking with Billy seems like it should be a good name to suport!

side note the new motors run awesome!

Do the Nemesis 13.5 stock motors have adjustable timing?

Thanks

yes they do from 0 to 40 and it is very clearly marked with a arrow so you can see right where it is. and very easy to adjust

I have a Nemesis on the way, what final ratio did you find working well for 17.5 on-road? I'm running carpet, thanks

what size carpet track? Im not too sure if gearing on carpet but if its anything bigger than 90 or 100 x 60 (or higher) id try to start around 3.5. But really ask what FDR the fast guys are running and go from there. Start it at the stock timing and move up accordingly. Want to go a bit faster but dont wanna gear up? Turn the timing up about 5 degrees. Wash, rinse, repeat. Watch temps, stay under 165.
