all i know theres alot of drivers that use fans due to gearing

most of the pro driver gear to the moon and the fan helps keep the motor
at a cool temp, the rotors do drop off if you over heat the motor

i have test many rotors after they were ran and i see a some what of a drop
in the magnet readings . i had a 13.5 that x-man ran when it was new
it was 13.85 in the metter and when i got it back 13.15 that is a big drop on the magnet

so a fan dose help the life of a bl motor

Thank you for the info, and Bill too.

If I were looking at an ESC with a 3.5 in it, with high ambient temperatures, sure I would have a fan (you'd be crazy not to use at least one for a 3.5).

I'm just very suprised to see them used with a 13.5 application. No doubt a fan will help preserve a motor, but if it's already been put under a lot of stress from the gearing, it sounds a bit backwards

A bit like damage limitation!

Like i've said though, if it works, it works, credit given to the end result.

There is a reason why there is a separate feedback thread and a manufacturer thread. So those things stay out of here, and go there. Same with all the other threads on the site.

Im sure you have a issue, but posting here was wrong. The "Powers that be" that run this site, I am sure they will fix this inappropriate posting simply by deleting it.

Topic change...Ok so runs what here on the team? Personally I run mainly sedan and dab abit in offroad from time to time. I travel the 48 due to work so if you see a new face at your track and maroon semi parked outside come say hi. Next big race I plan to attend will be the IIC this year. Probably wont get much practice but with the power on these motors it should be fine.

I race Stadium (indoor carpet) and also race electric monster trucks in the NRCTPA. I can race Sedan, but dont...no jumps, so it gets boring for me. No offense, its just my own mentality.

Current Trucks: 4 ThunderTech Clods (Ripper and Ripper Pros)
2 TwinForce with Xtreme Chassis
1 Losi MF2
1 Traxxas Slash (Box Stock)
1 TLT1 with Xtreme Chassis
1 XX Buggy (Not used much anymore)
1 Emaxx with Xtreme Chassis
1 Homemade Electric Revo

The Slash is by far, the most fun truck I have run. Its inexpensive, its durable, and easy to drive. Ive been lucky so far with my current winning streak. I hope to keep it up.
