Those look like the blue IB cells?
I have started a new regiment for charging cells, that includes five levels of safety.
1. Depending on the pack (which means my level of confidence of how matched they still are), set to either zero peak detect or 3mv/cell (Ice charger)
2. Set the temperature probe between cells that get the hottest. I use an IR temp sensor (also for checking nitro engine temps )
3. Reduced Charge rate from 6 to 5 amps.
4. Set the cutoff temp to 102 deg f. -- I do this because when the Ice reads 102, my temp gun reads about 115 and rising quickly. The cells peak out at around 120-130 f.
5. Keep an eye on the cell temps using the temp gun, when they get around 95 deg, they start to rise in temp FAST. If the cells are out of match by very much, the peak detection might not work, don't feel bad about stopping the charge.

I then re-peak at 6 amps about 5 minutes before my race just to get some heat back into them.

They also look fairly old since they do not have the Pro-Match "Match on date"

RocketRacer,
These cells are great! charge like you normally do. Equalize them to .90 on a tray then charge any where from 5-7 amps and dicharge 30-35 amps! After using them I equalize them and put back 1000+ sec back into the pack should be good for two weeks sitting.

Chris, are you running the birds? Also, are you going to Superior this week-end?

Hi Promatch

Is it okay to compare the number from Energ cell vs. Ib cells since they were matched by you guys? Will you have the IB 4200 6 cells on sale back in stock? I need some high number packs for TCS and HPI challenge. Thanks.

you can compare the numbers, but that is all they are worth. really different cell with different manufacture tollerences will yield different "feel" on the track. even cells made by the same manufacture in different batch codes will "feel" different and perform different.

I have not heard that promatch is going to match any ib cells at this point. you can never say nevers, but I don't thinks so at this point.
