I hope as my experience increases with the IB's that my performance increases also. If someone has any suggestions on how to get better performance form my IB's I would appreciate it.

Right now I do the following:

Leave charge in battery, when ready to use, Discharge on Much More CTX-D 30A Impulse to .90, tray on novak smart tray to .90, Charge on Orion Advantage at 6V, Run car, and leave in remainder till next use. Then I will repeat cycle. I run stock and 19T on-road. Any suggestions appreciated.
TSquare.... i do exactly what you do.. but with one addition. after CTX-D to 0.9v... i throw them on the tekin tray... when the lights go out...it goes down to 0.7V...and after a while.... once all the lights are out.. it brings the entire pack down to 0.5V and holds it there.

i highly recommend the tekin trays. as recommended by promatch, they work great,... i can squeeze a little bit more performance out of the IBs...and they wont get damaged. if you have any more questions.. post here, or call up erika or jeff. you wont be disappointed.

Your motors are geared wrong.. Just try a 1-3 tooth smaller pinion with the IB's. I had the exact same feeling when I first got to try IB cells over the older GP's... Never looked back after I figured them out.

Thanks for the reply, I appreciate your comments. I will put them into play this weekend. The only chnage i am going to make to my battery routine is to tray them on my Novak to .05, similar to what you do on your Tekin Tray. After reading so many warnings about how IB's do not lik eot go below .90, i have been very careful. Will post in future on how my experience goes. Thanks again.

Thank you for your comments to my questions. I am in the habit of always trying to gear up for speed. By going down a 1-3 teeth on your pinion, do you lose topend? And if you do - is it noticeable?

Will give a try this weekend, Thanks again.

Hey guys and gals been awhile since I posted on here some of you where probably happy about it

I am in need of some help I was wondering if anybody has any 4200's that might want to get rid of
I am looking for 4 0r 6 cell packs with a ton of run time
I had a lot going on this week and forget to order some in and I have a Trophy race and need them by Friday if possible
The reason why I would like them is we are having an Unlimited pan car class and ppl ot making special bodies and modding their normal cars to go ballistic
Most are going to run Novaks 4.5 systems and some are running brushed 5 and 6 turns with 6 cells
I am looking to get a couple packs to have on hand so I can show them what Promatch power can do when there batteries don't cut it That way all I have to do is toss them the stick and say put that in
if no one has any on here for a good price I wil go ahead and call Erica on Monday and see what she has in stock

Jay call me also

Thanks guys

Quick question for you guys,
What amperage should I charge my IB3800's for my 4.5 Brushless system, in a touring car. To run 5min. Should i charge at 6amps, or less.

Thanks,
Chris

Erika, thanks for the latest batch of cells! I tq'd and finish 2nd in the Florida State Series race at Superior Hobbies. Not too bad out of a 45 car field. Thanks again

promatchracer - what's up?! - Did I see you in a Spektrum ad in RCCA? Sure looked like you, Bama cap and all!

I went to my first TCS event this past weekend - what a blast! PM cells put down the best lap times of the day in spec, where it really is all battery, since the motors/chassis/tires are the same. Missed TQ by 1 sec, and due to "issues" in the main ended up 3rd, but that was driver trouble, not horsepower... If I stayed out of trouble the car was the fastest of the class - thanks to Pro-Match power.

I would say 5-6 amps would be fine. They have runtime out the wazoo anyway.

Do you know if you'll have any IB3800's in the 1.22+ range in stock any time soon? Need to get some packs before heading over to Reedy in a few weeks.

If none are listed I would advise calling Erika and checking to what is possibly coming out of the matchers.
