promatchracer: Im going to the Birds'. Racing Touring Stock, and using ur guy's outstanding IB3800's. I already have a room though. Sorry
Quick question to however may have an answer. Im racing this weekend, should I charge my new IB3800's that I havent run yet, just to break them in before i charge them and use them for a qualifier or the main? Cause i always refreshen my batteries like a day or two before my race, and i just needed to know if I should just charge these batteries up and discharge them before sunday.
Thanks for your guy's help. I hope to see everyone at the Snowbirds.

Chris

any try the IP cells yet. I have a bud that is running them in 1/12 and he says they are more consistent through the 8min

Default Need to catch up: GPs vs new IB and IP cells

My son and I have been away from the hobby for several months and see that mah numbers have climbed on the GP cells and that there are now so-called IP and IB cells. Can you provide a brief explanation of the differences and best applications for the IP and IB cells? I appreciate it. Thanks.

BTW, we mostly run 19t and stock classes.

its what i have been leaning towards purchasing since racing season is about to start up again. i would like to speak to erika or jeff and see what kind of results they are hearing from other promatch drivers when comparing the IP against the GP and IBs.

Here is the info I know

the GP do not have the voltage and have a higher IR and do not have the runtime. This is compared to the IB cells.

The IP are to have an even lower IR and about the same runtime wise top the IB cells. But they are a bigger cell. Currently ROAR has made an exception for these cell, kind of like the way the GPs were when they first came out.

The GP cells are very stable and everyone know the durability of these cells, the IB, IP cells, are still a little too new to know how they will hold up. I have heard that the IB are picky as far and maintenance. do not over discharge and such.
