got AIM? hit me up on there, DunpealHunterC.

maybe erika, or rod can correct me on this. for delta peak. i adjust according to ambient temp.. so.. if its 100 degrees outside.. im sweating buckets. i put the delta peak to 18mv per pack. 3mv per cell. the battery should come off warm not hot.

now.. if its 60 degrees and im wearing a sweater. i crank up the delta peak to 30mv (5mv per cell) so that when the pack peaks.. its also warm.
I don't have AIM I use MSN IM. If you also have it hit me on [email protected]. Thanks for the run down that is what I thought but since it is getting warm it might be good to ask.
If you don't have Msn IM just use that address for email or if you could PM me about the Tamiya stuff.
Thanks,

Pre-congratulations promatchrcr!

In regards to charging and delta peaks. Lately, I've been charging at 5amps with a delta peak of 30mv for the entire pack and they come off warm but not hot. This is on an LRP Pulsar Comp charger. Nothing fancy, it does the job and the cells easily make run time on a 7 turn motor. If it's cold out, I might bump the delta to 35-40mv per pack.

Also, I've been using a spintec battery manager after each run and right before the next charge, I put the pack on a Novak discharger set a 0.5V cutoff per cell. The spintec is supposed to bring the cells down, the Novak tray equalizes.

Here's a pic that a friend of mine took this past weekend. Thanks goes out to Cliff Black and Team Orion for the photo.

OK....dumb question. The promatch website recommends charging 3300 at .04 peak detect (turbo 35). How many millivolts is that?? I'm using an LRP charger and it recommends 15mv peak. .04 can't be 40mv, can it??

Thanks

Nope .04 equates to 24mv.....its .04 for each cell.
I use .03 most of the time..so 18mv...Hoep this helps

no problem... just wanted to know other's opinion how the two different cells performed...

in our testing of the IB cells (matched 3600 and 3800's), during the first minute, i'd say the power is in the 120% range, however, as every minute passes by, the power constantly declines, not that the decline is really bad, but somehow noticable... unlike with the GP3300, although the initial power may only be 105% in the beginning of the heat, the "FEEL" doesn't really change that much throughtout the run...
