do you know if promatch has any plans to start matching the GP3700s? or any other batteries? (VTEC, Intellect, etc)

thanks!

It is on the NEWS section of the promatch website. www.promatchracing.com

All the latest news and updates can be found there, and PMRGirl is good about keeping it updated.

That would be cool, I know when I talked with her earlier this week she said ALOT was going on and she was very busy. Maybe if we beg her we can get it going again,LOL.

I decided to give you all a chance since your name has a great reputation along with a great price. I ordred the three pack of 420+ 1.180+ I have been told that for the price nothing touches these packs. I hope these packs live up to the expectations I have for them.
Question though,
What are your recommended charge rate, the peak cut-off, & do they require a few cycles before coming around?
Thanks in advance as I want these cells to preform all season.

they are definately the best you can buy and the price is just an added bonus. I have some from promatch that are about 4 month old. And they still cycle out to the number on the labels. I usually charge at 6A and put my peak at .03 on the turbo. for 4 cell mod, I have been down to 5A and .02.

I would not cycle the packs, just run them a few time. They will take a few runs to wake up. But cycling them did not seam to work on waking them up.

Oh yea, never change on a fan.

Yeah, thats a good practice as stated above, When you get them just run them a couple race days and if you have tray use it regularly and if you wnat to check the numbers cycle them on a T-30/35 afterwards. I wouldn't use one that takes it to deadshort levels. The Novak tray works good and if you can find a Pro Match smarttray 2 thats even better. They don't make them any more but you can find folks selling one here and there from time to time.

I have been trying something new (well new to me) and have had some serious increase to run time and total voltage when I tray the batteries that I am going to race with on the Integy Zero 6S over night and put them strait to charge from the tray right before my heat..well about thirty three minutes before my heat.
This seems to work. I have about 1600mah left after a 5 minute heat with a stock motor. So am I wrong in doing this, as many PRO level racers have told me this....
I haven't had any adverse affects by doing this so far....
Just a thought.
I also charge at 6 amps and cutoff of 30-50 because I use mV because my chargers don't use decimels. I am using the GM COmmander and the APS Dyno-Charge.
Any other advice would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Stephen <><

hey promatchrcr,

why does promatch not make the tray anymore? If they are as good as eveyone says, we should at least get the design info from Jeff and outsource the production and sell them again.

From what I was told they decided to stop making it because of the time it took to assembly the trays vs money...you feel me? BUTTTTTTT I was also told by a little birdie,LOL, that there is a new tray being thought over so maybe sometime soon we may see another tray....a new version..... but that ain't set in stone. Lets keep our fingers crossed.

Mr Shookie: If you have a setup that works for you by all means stay with it. I am not saying it is wrong but not just what Pro Match recommends.... (meaning: I don't exactly do the "right" thing either,LOL) Do what works for you and understand that it is possible to damage your batteries if you do "certain" things.

i agree with you promatchrcr. I think that integy discharger is basically dead shorting the pack in parallel. You can ready int he news section on the promatch website about the affects of deadshorting.
