Default Peak voltage

If two packs are charged by same charger, with same settings, and one pack has a higher peak voltage, is that an indication it is a "punchier" pack?

I've got a pro match double four cell smart tray(4x2) do I have to have both packs in the tray for it to work or will it work with only one pack at a time? The lights don't seem to work with only one pack.

If I recall there is a jumper on the bottom you remove to do a 6 cell pack. Other wise it should do one 4 cell or two 4 cell packs.

Yes I understand that part, but it seems not to make contact with only one 4cell pack?

I am afraid the only thing I can think of is to remove the jumper and try it. Maybe PMRGirl will see you question and ask Jeff about it. Hang in there we will get you answer one way or another.

Oh, yeah it got pretty bad up your way eh? Here we just a littel ice but nothing locally that screwed things up. (I'm in Birmingham,AL.) I think a little north and east of me it was a littel worse for bridges and stuff but nothing major.
