Hey, I've been running promatch packs for about three years now. I love the performance and I love the price and Jeff is a really nice guy. I've been running mostly 12th scale this year. Got three 4 cell packs that have been cycled appox 15 times. The numbers on the label are all around 425 seconds, 1.178AV with 2.3IR. I just cycled all three on my gfx to see how they have held up. now they are all around 380 sec, 1.16av with 3.5IR. I've been running stock charging the packs at 6amps with 0.03 cutoff on the GFX. Am I doing something wrong or is this typical? What are you guys using as a cutoff voltage? I guess I should add that I store the packs after racing with some charge left in them. I then discharge on the gfx and equalize them on my rayspeed tray the morning of race day. Then they are charged right before the run... Any help would be appreciated.

1) How old are the packs?
2) When you say cycles do mean runs in the car or actual cycles you have done on the GFX?
3) I would charge them at 5amps (not 6 since that reduces the life of the packs) and use a .04 or .05 cutoff depending on how hot the packs get. You can find the temp info on the Pro Match website.
If this doesn't help, I would give Jeff a call and explain the situation and see what he says. I am sure he will do what he can to make you happy and get your problem worked out.

The "HR" in the part number means high runtime. It shows the runtime next to the part #.... the ones with "hr" mean 420+ runtime.

The packs are about 4 months old and when I say cycled, I'm referring to runs on the track. I'll have to get my hands on a temp gun so I can see what the actual temperatur is when they peak. Thanks for your help...

LOL, good question..... I would think anywhere on the cell would be fine. I will check on that for you and let you know.

thanks, I ask because i noticed the end of the cells get hotter to the touch then the top. I assume because the shrink wrap insulates it some...
