Well I guess that its that other matchers fault now.......it couldnt be that something was done wrong again on the user side could it?....naaahhhh. Maybe all the laws of Physics and reality dont work in that pit area like they do every where else. Someone call the X-files this looks like a case for them.

I am not causing trouble. Just asking a question?

As soon as the PHI gets here, I will be back racing.

Default Serious Question

For those of you guys that have seen RJ run, what should I be doing for him to; 1) keep his interest up,not that it is declining, and progressing, he dropped 2.5 sec on his lap times in 4 days
2) help him become more consistent

He looks up to you guys even though he doesn't know all of your names, so any advice would be appreciated.

Thanks
Eric

First and foremost I would say practice, practice and practice. The more track time the better. Sounds like he is already on the right path if he already has dropped 2.5 sec a lap.

Thumbs up

There is a quote in the movie, "A League of Their Own" by the Tom Hanks character when talking about baseball. I like to use it when coaching my 14 year old stepson in football, and I also think it relates to our racing these little cars.

"It's supposed to be hard; if it wasn't hard, everyone would do it. The hard is what makes it great."

Thank goodness for racing R/C cars, or else I would probably be one of those overly-excited youth football coaches.

I admit defeat at the hands of Mr Kane. Very nice team you've put together.

Its not over yet....Romo could fall off a chair and break his leg or something....

Eric....Its hard to keep the interest going as hes going to get older maybe he wont be like a majority of the kids these days. Just set short term goals and have him work at them. One area that I see that he needs to focus on is racing with other cars and working to get around them. Sometimes hes really patient if not overly then other times he just gets right in there and causes a wreck. Working on that is something I would recomend. Everything will fall in place with more track time. Hes doing a great job so far and I have seen him getter faster from the summer to now. Im sure it wont be long until hes passing us all.

I do not discharge after the final run of the day. Leave the remaining charge in the batteries. When you are ready for the next use, I highly suggest using a CE Turbo 35 GFX for the discharging of the batteries. I discharge the pack at 35 amps down to 6.00 Volts as a pack. The reason for this is to allow the DPD or CTX-D discharge tray to do its job correctly in the next step. After the discharge is complete on the GFX, I then suggest putting it onto a DPD or CTX-D discharge tray, and bring the cells down to .90 Volts per cell. Let the battery pack cool down to room temperature. You then can start charging. I follow these steps every time I am going to use a pack. Call me if you have any questions.

Thanks - Brad

Is RJ the kid who was running TC last Weds. night when I was there?

He's pretty good. I marshalled his heats and he looked pretty good from what I saw. Practice and patience is key. Plus just overall having fun. You probably heard Euge and I joking in the pits and on the stand the whole night. We've never taken racing that seriously. Plus it's hard to when I just whoop on him...

Yes, that was him running with Mathew. He has fun, unless Dad is in Dad mode and trying to get him to get done what he should be doing to get ready. His teachers call him a social butterfly at school.

It was looking really Bad for the first 3 quarters....I was thinking I was going to take the loss. Then when I saw he made 50 attempts and threw for over 300 yards and 2 touches I felt better. Even with 5 int's and a fumble he still put up 100+ points....WOW. Sorry that you lost your O but it was a hell of a game.
