First, congrats to Mark on his new sponsorship and Brad on landing another great driver.

Second, thank you all for your continued efforts in making this possibly the most continually entertaining thread on RC Tech. Keep up the good work.

Finally, to the batteries. What is everyones opinions of EP vs. IB cells for mod TC. It sounds like the great thing about the EP's is the increased durability. Have they been tested in mod? I would imagine the durability would be even more apparent in such a harsh application? I notice Brad has some killer runtime EP's for as low as 50 bucks on the site. Was thinking of trying them out for this summer.

the ep cells are awesome. Timmy Heiser ran mod and 19t at the roar carpet nats and he had nothing but very good things to say about the EP cells. And as far as durability goes these EP cells seem to get stronger the more you use them. These seem to be as strong or stronger on the 3rd run of the day as the 1st time of the day.

I am sure that all the hurricane guys who are gonna be racing at hobbytown st. charles will all be running the EP4200 as they DONT self discharge , but should be taken car of just as you would with the ib's. These cells have some awesome rip too.

Chuck you should defintly get some EP packs if your gonna be out running this summer.

the ep pack that i ran for our regionls was used twice that day and i cycled it the night before to make sure it was good .. the pack read 435,1.223,1,5 and when i cycled it the number were almost dead nuts it was 7 seconds shy on run time the voltage read a little higher andthe i.r were a touch higher (due to battery bars ) then i cycled it today and it was the same as when i cycled it the week before . i am going to try a four cell pack this weekend at a oval race in stafford springs CT and i will let you know how it went

Wallstreet...VS...Seaball

Seaball once ate three 72oz steaks in an hour...he spent the first 45mins having sex with his waitress

Seaball moonlights as a mall Santa in Greenwich Village....but he does it in the summertime when the indoor season slows down.
