Mark Smyka current TQ of stock 12th scale at the birds.

Proving that the Hurricane Gold Brushes are Top Notch

Keep it up Smyka. On his way to another dominating weekend in 12th scale just like at the halloween classic.

Is Hurricane going to release their own line of motors?

How many runs can you also get from a set of gold brushes? A guy at our local track says you can get 2 runs.

What spring combinations do you recommend?

Suggestions will be for CO27s running stock foam and stock rubber, carpet.

Thanks,

Thanks,

The Hurricane Gold Brush is great brush, it can be run 2 to 3 times if you are practicing or what have you. But for big races most any racer will only run a set of brushes for 1 race and then cut and rebrush a motor( regardless of the type of brush). This being said the gold brush is a race level brush and you will get the most out of the brush on the first run. But like i said before that goes for most all brushes. When we are practicing we run them 3 to 4 times before the rebuild our motors.

Brad did some great testing with the gold brushes and found that for the co27 motor the best way to spring the gold brushes on the co27 is red on the positive and green on the negative. This goes for touring car and 12th scale. The proof is in the results ** Brad Johnson Tq'd the novak race in stock touring car and just this weekend Mark Smyka Tq'd stock 12th scale at the snowbirds. Mark smyka also destroyed the compition as the Halloween Classic back in october with the same brush and spring combo on his co27 motors in stock 12th scale not only tq'ing the stock class but also if memory serves right might have been the only car on the lead lap .... but i may be wrong on that.
