Congratulations to all of the Hurricane drivers, particularly Brad, Goetz, and Zorc. All three of you put on an awesome show over the weekend, and it was a great first experience for me at a big race.

Great job, and we'll see you at the track.

Joe - Not a problem, thank you for the order. I hope you like them, your new order will ship out today. Go ahead and charge them at 6.0 amps with a .30 - .36 peak detect (watch the temp. and adjust from there). When you are done racing, discharge the pack immediately on a Turbo 35 and bring the 4 Cell pack down to 3.60V. The next time you are going to race, go ahead and and put the pack on a tray before you charge them and bring each cell down to 0.0 or 0.1V per cell. Let the pack cool down and then start charging. You should see anywhere from 4000-4400mAhr from the pack. If you have any questions, please call me at the shop.

Thanks - Brad

Thats good info! I dont have a Turbo35 ($$$) but I use the discharger in my LRP Comp. And draining them to .1 is somthing I can give a try, tomorrow when I am at Oshkosh for the day.

I do have to admit... I am a freaking moron. At work one of my co workers swapped cells when looking at them between packages.. I didnt notice so I had to de-solder some of the cells and swap them around. I hate soldering more than needed on packs. I let them cool nicely before doing the re-soldering, but damn I am a doofus.

Clegg....You should think about getting something that will discharge the cells/packs at a higher amp rate then the LRP....which only discharges at 10amps. You can pick up an Integy Reactor 30 that will Discharge a pack down to .9 per cell per pack. It also has an adjustment "pot" on it so you can discharge even lower and set it for 4 cells. The higher amp discharge the better that LRP doesnt really cut it. I think the Integy thing is like 35 or 40 bucks. KT Hobbies has them listed on his site.

If you just want to dump the cells for a decent price, the Reactor 30 amp is a great choice. I use this myself. Now there's an endorsement!

Brad...I have 2 packs of 3700mah from Hurricane like 3 months ago....and I would like to follow your instruction. However, don't have Turbo 35 yet (or ever will...$$$)...but I have the Reedy Quatser that has DELTA PEAK 3, 4, 5 to 7....what is that equal to what you said about .30 - .36 peak detect...?
And how exactly is "watch the temp. and adjust from there"...?
I am still new for EP....I wish I can dump some 30% nitro over the 3700mah and ready for the track......thanks.

Hollywood King...how come you didn't call me about the RDX...? She was calling your name the whole week....

Rookie....Brad is out at the track now so I will help you with this. Im not 100% sure but with the Reedy charger I think you need to be on 3 delta peak. What he means by watching the temp and adjust from there is that you want your cells to peak out at about 130F to at the most 150F. If your cells are cooler then that after they peak you can increase the peak detect so they peak closer to 130F.
