Most of us understand. we are waiting to get new chassis for outdoor season. our snow just melted here in ny and i would like to get it dailed in, as our first race is april 21. I know i call from time to time to check up on the cyclone chassis and now with the scalpel and other projects (007 Chassis) in the works, I know it will be out soon and another quality job.

We are behind you jason, some of us are a little stupid sometimes.

Hey Jason,

Just got a new fresh BMI 350 for my xray 04. I'm getting tired of squeezing batteries into the hold downs as it seems each new battery causes problems with them. The question is, what would be the easiest way to make tape slots in the chassis?

Thanks.

hmm,the easiest way would be to get one of those tile grout gutter bits(1/8th diameter)from home depot and throw it in your dremel.make yourself a guide block of some sort to rest your dremel against while it is cutting so your slot is straight.once it is cut,you can use a small rat tail file to break down the sharp edge to keep your tape from being cut.if you need any help let me know.

the changes made to the kit over stock are the 3mm added wheelbase adjustment,a slight bit forward directed flex and there is a .5mm deep reccess pocket under the batteries for your tape to lay below the surface to avoid cutting the tape.the rest of the standard BMI features are included such as beveled battery slots and edges.
