Hi Jason,

Just wondering if anyone has run the carpet chassis on asphalt with rubbers yet? I was wondering how it would go? (ie. how much does it affect the handling? does it help reduce the amount of tweak -since its thicker and also the bulkheads are keyed into the chassis)

I am assuming it would make the car on asphalt with rubbers more 'nervous' or edgy to drive, but the cyclone has so much grip (front and rear), hopefully it wouldn't be a problem.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Leonard.

P.S Well done at the Las Vegas race.

BMI Cyclone is super duper dialed. I switched cars midrace and was instanty fast enough for a top 5 start in stock. Too bad my driving was not good enough casue I was a day behind everyone, I had terrible glitching problems the whole first day of practice, I had to use Jasons radio all weekend. At that time I was still running the corally, I switched after the 2nd round and instantly went faster but I was already too behind. I had a car fast enough to easily make the main but this weekend I was the weak point. The car was smooth as one can be and the best touring car I have ever driven, even on regular parma foams unlike most people using jaco this weekend. Jason had some wc's using his chassis and loving it. Jason and I both ran very similar setups, mine might have been a little easier to drive with softer rear shocks. We both ran the center Brace with no post to stiffen up the chassis laterally. This worked awesome without sacrificing traction on this low bite carpet.

I agree with Larry. I had issues getting used to how good the car was compared to my xray, but I am happy I made the switch.

I ran it today on high bite and didn't have to make too many changes from the IIC setup to be up there with the fastest guys at the track.

Overall, great aftermarket kit and I can't wait until I get more practice with it.

Tim

Thanks for the compliments and pics Jason . The car looks good, that chassis looks thin in the pictures though, is that an asphalt version or something? It's probably me just not being able to tell in the pics though . I'll give you a call tomorrow .

I ran a T2 BMI chassis at Vegas.

The car was great, I guess. I don't run carpet. But it seemed to me that the car worked VERY well. I just couldn't squeek any rip outta that monster motor.

Won the 19t E main though

All of Team Xray were running it on the 007...Well a complete rip-off anyway Funny how the new xray 007 chassis looks exactly like Jason's chassis Xray has a great car, but don't let them fool you with all this innovative BS!!! It's a shame, but several of the factory xray drivers have been using Jason to help develop their own product at his cost....
