not sure if i am following your question dude but the tubes dampen the t plate in side to side movement without effecting your shock dampening.the angle of the tube controls the leverage your rear pod has over the tubes for different feels.let me know if this is answering your question at all.

Jason- on your 1/12 car can you run the brace across the front suspension or is you cars width different? not allowing the use of the front brace?

Yo fellas...

Ya, the hockey puck style suspension directly affects center shock dampening. Some people like it, some don't. I just think it could end up causing inconsistencies with the center dampening. I always opt for the dampener tube setup.

And, as I promised, here is a pic of my BMI DB12 fresh off the track from SnowBirds. All I did was take the battery out.

Some setup info...

The ride height was probably a little high. With fresh tires, the car was 3.5mm all the way around. The dampener tubes were filled with the old Joel Johnson slippage diff lube. It's actually a pretty thick silicone similar to about 5000 wt diff oil. Center shock has 30wt LOSI oil with an Associated silver spring. The T-bar is a standard Associated .075 with all 3 screws in it. The front suspension is pretty standard. I was using .020 associated springs with caster as you can see it in the pic. I had 0 toe also. Gearing was 88/28.

I didn't jot down the tire sizes. I know the rear started at 1.78. I forgot what the fronts were.

Lata,

The other Jason

thanks for the info and setup bro.

Roly,
you can run the cross brace but i never do due to the inconsistencies in the molded arms.im a tweak freak.

sorry jason i missed a line from the original question on my repost. The upper pod plate for the damper tubes has 2 sets of holes. One forward, one Rearward. When you use the rear holes i'm guessing it makes the car feel slightly stiffer than when you use the front set? (kinda like standing up a shock)
