Default TC3 BMI Chassis Worth It?

Hello,
I am considering purchasing the BMI chassis for my TC3. I have yet to hear if purchasing this chassis is actually worth the expense. Does the chassis make the car any better? How does the chassis effect the weight of the car?
Currently I run a FT TC3 in stock class with the normal modifications: modified chassis, ceramic bearings, irs input shafts, losi front end.
In running the BMI chassis in the stock class, what kind of performance gains would I be looking at, if any?
Is there anyone out there with an unbiased opinion?
Also, what has been done to the BMI chassis that would truely make it better than the original tub chassis besides the batteries being moved closer to the drive shaft?
Thanks
Joe

It was good racing today..................B/c I BEAT YOU!!!!!!!!!! this is three weeks in a row. See you next week.

Just to let everyone know that I don't just go switching sponsors and cars all the time, the reason I am with BMI now is b/c two weeks ago I have decided to run an x-ray car, and Vic said if I did this I would not be a warpspeed team driver (but I personally think that it is a much stronger and very well designed car) So needless to say I got one for Christmas and then when I told Vic he is fine with that but i'm just not a team driver anymore. When Jason herd about this he came and asked me if I would like to run his new x-ray chassis and I was delighted and said yes.

I switched to the black chassis cuz .my tub chassis was un perdictable I couldnt get the shocks to work correctly and even the tweek was always off .. I found by switching my car is more perdictalbe and drives smoother and flater in the coneres with out loosing speed .. and seems to be more planted .. Ive ran other cars for years (losi) but now have this one so Im very pleased with its performance..Id buy one if I were looking for a change or an upgrade... you wont be dissapointed..As far as better lap times I do see a diffrence ,, but your driving will be the diffrence with the proper setup..

It's going to be hard to get an unbiased opinion. Those who have run them still do so, and those that don't probably never have. Seriously though, you cannot go wrong with this chassis. 119.99 for an awesome chassis with motor plate, top deck, batteries already move in and forward, lighter, you can run NTC3 rack or the original rack, easy to clean and work on. Last but not least... It looks cool as heck. The main thing I notice with this chassis is the corner speed. It's insane! Before the conversion my car would hang in the corners and now it doesn't. I'f you've had you tub for over a few months chances are it's warped.. Spend $45.00 on a new tub and alot of man hours modding it or spend 119.00 and get a chassis that looks great and all the work is done?

Stephen.....three weeks in a row my ass .......you know I only got to run one of the two A mains last week because of that moron who smashed my car up going full speed backwards down the track before the start of the first A main but in the second A main (the only one I was able to run because of someone elses fault) "you got your lunch" ......yesterday was good racing.....it dosn't get much closer than that......I just hope that team kyosho dosn't come out with a car in the next few weeks that you take a liking to........ next thing ya know, you'll be leaving BMI and descising yourself a a little chinamen to get on their team

I agree with John on the fact that it is going to eliminate any worry of a warping..I was messing around this weekend with my tub chassis that I have. I milled it and installed some spare parts to make another car. But when I was setting the chassis up I couldn't get the tweek out to save my life!

I brought the BMI car to the table and it was perfect! It is hard enough to race cleanly let alone with a car that may be tweeked. Rid yourself of the worry and buy a chassis I am sure you won't be mad!

Good luck racing!

Default TC3 BMI Chassis Worth It?

Hello guys and thanks for all the help! I really appreciate it. I have already decided to purchase the BMI chassis once the blue anodized parts become available. Jason has also replied very quickly to my emails and has been extremely helpful.
Thanks again!
