Hey, I just started running the FT TC4 and a have seen how nice a BMI chassis is vs the FT carbon. Compliments to you Jason.

My question(s) is can I have the TC4 chassis made to improve the design for carpet? I would like 3mm instead of 2.5mm and the battery cutouts (sized for IB 3800) moved as close to center as possible. I would hope with a 3mm chassis I could eliminate the center brace and make more room for the batteries. The steering could stay as well as the weight f/r. What do you think?

Any plans in the works to make a chassis that is compatible with the Factory Team TC4? A chassis that will accept the motormount?
Thanks

You need the top deck man. Trust me...not only does it help with side-to-side flex, if you have any sort of frontal collision without the top deck, you will seriously mess up your car.

Also, I'm pretty sure Jason's TC4 kit is made using 3mm c/f. I don't believe it is compatible with your car unless you buy some different parts, because, like Jason said a few posts back, he released his kit about 6 months before the FT TC4 came out. It sounds like they changed some parts on the FT kit, such as the motor mount, making the BMI conversion not totally compatible.

Default Yes, it would be nice to see BMI make a

kit that is an improvement over the stock Factory Team kit. A 3mm chassis and upper deck to get rid of the center brace. BMI's nice detail to boot.

edit - after further review of the play, I have determined that the center brace and top deck on the TC4 are in fact the same thing, therefore my original post stands!

Speedo, thanks for the reply. I think I am still being misunderstood a little. I would like a BMI chassis made for me if possible? Does BMI do that?

Give Jason a call or PM him directly. I think that he is stupid busy with other work right now, so if he decided to do some changes, it would take a long time to get them done.

Where in michigan are you? I have a BMI TC4 kit that you could look at if you go to any of the local tracks in the metro detroit area or lansing, or toledo, or pretty much anywhere else within 100 miles.
