I have a Xray T1R which I recently changed the chassis to the xray 6 cell graphite chassis, what benefit or feel would I get if I were to get the BMI chassis for the xray T1R. The car will most always be run on asphalt. I also have a 6 cell graphite chassis which I shaved down to ~2.0mm like the new chassis for the FK05 Car. Also, would it be worth buying a BMI complete set up?

Default Jason...

I know it's your favorite, so how about a finned motor mount for better cooling?

Default glowster21...

I'm not sure what you mean? I'm talking about the Xray05. The BMI 05 doesn't come with a motor mount. It would be cool to see a finned motor mount for the 05 for better cooling.

Seeing as how the motor is aready hanging out the side of the chassis along with the vented chassis under the motor I don't think a finned motor mount would do anything but add bling. If your that worried about a hot motor just add a fan to the motor.

A few questions for anyone out there....How does the TC4 BMI chassis run on carpet with foams? Does it come with the battery strap and motor mount?

Well, to give you an idea of how it runs on foams...

The first big race I ran on carpet - The ROAR Indoor Carpet Nationals this year, I qualified 7th and finished 4th in the A main of Stock Touring. I also had the 2nd fastest run of the weekend in qualifying only 2 tenths behind Peter Robinson.

The car does come with a battery strap, but that is only useful for 3300s. The new chassis Jason made for 3800s requires tape. He is probably working on a strap for that anyway.

The motor mount is the one that comes with the normal TC4 kit. So no, the car does not come with a motor mount. Also, the Factory Team TC4 has a different motor mount, so his current TC4 kit will not work for a Factory car.

I run at the track where the Carpet Nats were held...What were you using for a setup? I'll be using my TC4 in 19 Turn so I'll be running 3300's as my 3800's are reserved for my RDX in Mod.

I posted this before...

-Front Suspension-

70 Wt oil w/ #2 Pistons
ASC Purple Spring
Shocks in 3rd hole out on tower
Shocks in inner hole on arms
.078 sway bar
6 degree castor blocks
#2 spacer under rear arm mount (anti-dive)
Arms spaced in for middle length wheelbase
Camber links mounted in 3rd hole in
-1.5 degrees of camber
5mm droop
JACO Double Pink/Orange Tires ( tractioned to the orange edge )

-Rear Suspension-

60 Wt oil w/ #2 Pistons
ASC Copper Spring
Shocks all the way out on the rear tower
Shocks mounted on outer hole on rear arm
2 degree rear toe
Arm mounts flat to chassis
Arms spaced for middle wheelbase
Camber links mounted in 3rd hole in ( .020 shim under ball )
-1.5 degrees of camber
4mm droop
JACO Double Pink Tires ( Completely Tractioned )

Parma Alfa Body. I forget the gearing though. I know the spur gear is a 100t, so it was probably a 36 or a 37 for a stock motor. 19turn shouldn't be far off that anway.

Is this set-up base on high traction due to a lot of driver or a regular club race of about 20-25 people, I also race at Hobby Chamber
