Nice to see all this interest in my low CG car.

I would gladly give you all more feedback if I could get my son down to the track to test more often. Isn't it frustrating not to be able to drive properly.

However, at the KO Gp at West London a couple of weeks ago he was stuck at the track for 3 days - and couldn't get away, so he did run both cars extensively, and decided he preferred the low CG car.

West London track, when coked and with 200 cars laying down additive, gets quite a bit of grip. I saw cars grip rolling. It worked well there, and it works well at our track here in Malta which has considerably less grip, so it looks pretty good everywhere.

I'll keep you all posted.

In the meantime: JASON - I need 2 chassis kits ------ YESTERDAY.

Default BMI2 Chassis

Can somebody tell me if the BMI2 chassis will fit the new Ib3800 cells. I've just got the money to order one and need to know if i need to sort this out.
Cheers
Paul

So is there something similar for the TC4? I tried the BMI web site with no luck.

Looking at the picture, I would say it is the same to install/remove the motor.

I dont have my new motor mount yet but even at that its not that big of a deal to change motors. Setting gear mesh can be tricky though. I did cut the side fin off the motor mount though, maybe that is why I have no problems.

Default Ft differences from BMI TC4

Can anybody tell me what the differences are between the two chasses. (Ae's FT tc4 adn BMI's TC4?) I see that BMI's is 3mm bottom plate. Anything else? Is it worth it to purchase the FT TCR AND the BMI kit, or just the "team" kit and the BMI?

I already have a BMI TC3 w/ceramic bearings, IRS big dawgs, and niftech outdrives in both the front and rear. (all built w/ceramic balls) and it works very smoothly. I would like to upgrade my to a TC4, but would like to do it economically (RC = economic and RC doesn't usually fit together. )

Thanks for any information,

Aaron.

Maybe it's me, but it doesn't make sense to buy a FT kit and a BMI chassis. Just seems a waste. I have the BMI chassis and I like it, except for having to remove the upper deck to remove the diffs, which wouldn't normally be a problem but for some reason I've been having diff problems lately

If you don't mind doing some work and sacrificing your TC3, the entire TC3 driveline is the same as the TC4, and you have some good stuff in your TC3. You may consider buying the BMI chassis, using your TC3 driveline, and buying the suspension parts you need, arms, mounts, stuff like that. Oh, shocks are the same too. When you buy the parts, you can opt for the FT stuff like aluminum mounts or carbon arms and carriers.

If you're lazy like me just buy the FT kit.
