Snobeast:

Hi,

My droop settings are -3 for the front and -2 for the rear. I use the Hudy droop setting blocks. as for ride hieght I run 4 to4.5mm up front and 4mm in the rear. I use the blue Team A.E. ride hieght tool.
I don't have the kit droop setting tool so I will have to get one to give you the droop settings off one of them.

tim: thanks man,
i'll be running on carpet only. so i'll need the 3mm top brace, right?
do you guys make a kit w/ the 3mm brace included or do i have to buy it separate?
also are you gonna have the bumper braces and foam thingy for sale soon?

Manny:

Hi,

We run the 3mm top brace on carpet when running foams.
here is a good base setup to start with. it works well on med to high bite tracks.

Springs: white
Oil: 60wt assoc
Pistons #2's
Caster blocks: 4* assoc/losi steeing knuckles
front block: F-0
shock mounting: lower outer hole on arm, middle hole on a rear shock tower mounted up front. (I cut off the outer most hole).
camber link: lower inner on shock tower.
Sway bar: either a .078 or a .062 up front (depending on bite).
Tires: Jaco double Pink/Orange or Purple/Orange.

Rear:

Springs: Purple or copper (depending on bite)
Oil: 50wt Assoc
Pistons: #2's
Rear toe in: either the "R" block with the R+2+0 or the "F" block with the R+3+0 block. (I shim up the "F" block with 2 motor washers per side).
Rear Hubs: Losi 0* hubs.
Camber link: upper inner hole on hte shock tower and the inner hole on the hub carrier.
Sway Bar: none
Tires: Jaco double pinks or purples.

Camber: 1.5* all around. (less up front if the tires are coning)
Batteries: forward.
Motor: either a Monster stock or a MVP
Tire size: 2.360 (new Jaco rims) 2.3 (old rims)
Elecronics: GT7 speedo, (#4setting) XXTra Rx, JR 8714 servo, and a personal transponder mounted on the servo.
Body: Losi Alfa. slammed or a Startus (old one)

hey tim, thanks for the setup...will have to work to that when i get my chassis,...i have a lrp quantam reverse, does that matter?
(told ya im new at this stuff, hehe)
the carpet track i run on (radical ricks race city in swansea, ma)
has LOTS of traction...im running tm tires right now, a purple/plaid combo. should i get the jaco's?
speaking of tires, can someone explain what the colors mean? which is harder/softer??

Your welcome. It was a great help for me also. The problem comes in when you try to compare different manufacturers. There is also a nice explination on CRC's website, http://www.teamcrc.com/teamcrc.cgi, under the Tech/Downloads section. Check it out. It's a good read. I believe the CRC foams are the same compounds/durometer as the Jaco's.

If you guys haven't tried the Mazda 6 body yet I would suggest doing so. This body rocks! Has tons of front bite and good rear traction.

Manny:

Hi,

I used to run T,M foams awhile back. good tires. Tony M. has a nice rim also. I run Jaco because they are available where I race. as for the foan being the same on TRC/Jaco. it all comes from the same source.

as for the LRP Quantum reverse speedo it wil be fine for racing on a club level. justy remmember to lock out the reverse when racing. (unless your club allows it).

The Mazda6 is a great body to use. we ran one at Cleveland. we finaly eneded up with the 2.0 Stratus on for the main as bite was WAY up.

These compounds are the same as the TRC's I have been running them since June and have never had one chunk etc...Plus the cool thing with these tires are the rims are made a bit larger in DIA. which will allow you to run RPM ball cups with out the need to grind them down to fit into the wheel...

But the down side is you'll need to order them online unless you can find a LHS that stocks them...

Jaco and TRC's are all good too!
