hey guys,
i am just about finished with the design of the new motor mount for the tc4.
it is going to be fitted for all existing kits that are out there now and i gotta say,it looks awesome.im really happy with it.i actually like it better than my tc3 one.i will be doing shock towers probably mid august.

mike deadly,
there are alot of things that they did not address on the ft that i can see from pictures.im sure it will be better than the stock tub but i dont see them really improving the existing problems with the car.i dont want to bash AE on my thread or theres.i am just telling you what i see from posted pictures.reguardless of the material they use,im sure it will be better than what they have now.the biggest problem i see for everyone waiting for AE to release a conversion is the cost.the conversion for converting a team car to a FT is gotta be at least 250-275 bones.they changed too much on the car.alot of people are going to be disappointed that they are gonna need to spend that much.my kit is much less because i sell direct to the public and avoid major mark ups.im not in it for the money, its my hobby and i enjoy it.i enjoy helping people out when i can.i just dont see the point in a AE FT conversion.they are gonna sell about as good as used underwear.just my oppinion.

Default Jason...

will the new motor mount allow for a lower upper deck? Or is it as low as it can go? I can't wait to try one. Also can you make another hole for as an option to move the servo in closer to the center line of the chassis like the now TF TC4?

i had to cut half the lug off to get it to fit..well i only had to cut part of it off but it looked crappy then so i cut the rest off (so theres only 1 screw on one side)...as it caught the shaft.

Default Just an idea Jason...

I like the idea of having a narrower chassis by putting the servo in closer to the center line. Yes, it's helps balance out the battery side, but the trade off is less CF used, it would be lighter and weight would be closer to the center line. It's a good idea, a detail the shaft cars have over the belted cars. I'm sure that's why AE designed this like the Pro 4. I have to give it to HPI for some great ideas. The TC4 will basically be a Pro 4 in design but with a BMI kick! It's all good.

i think you ar gonna be a little disappointed when you see the FT,it doesnt look very narrow.i think the wide top deck gives it that look.from the pics it looks the same as the team car in width.

i was comparing the BMI width to the standard tub width and it is roughly the same..about 2mm narrower...

apart from on the bit where the standard tub goes in where the motor is.

Okay, call me impatient but I have gone 10 pages in (newest to oldest) and have not been able to find any pricing information for the TC4 chssis. I have seen lots of great posts bosting about this chassis and now I just have to have one. What does the conversion come with and what other items would be needed? I have the TC4 team kit currently. Any and all information available would be great.

Thanks.
