I too am going to the regionals.

Currently I am running the tub chassis and I am planning on getting the BMI black chassis but with the reginals so close I am kinda afraid to do so.

When you changed chassis was there a big change or was it just more predictable and consistant. I too am running the Blackstock setup and like it. I will be running stock possibly 19 turn not sure yet.

Thanks
Rodney

Rodney

To me it makes the car more predictable. It WILL NOT tweak in a crash or if your motor gets hot!! Yesterday I got every thing setup and got the ride height at 4mm on all 4 corners and set it on the tweak scales.

LF 328 grams
RF 332 grams
LR 330 Grams
RR 325 grams

It only took a small turn on two shocks and all 4 wheels were within 2 grams.

So it is balances very very good. If I were you I wouldnt hesitate to take a BMI car to the regionals!! I love mine so far.

A friend of mine is running the BMI chassis and is having problems with wheel chatter (wheel hop). Any of you having this trouble and if so what have you done to correct it? I gave him a number of things to check, but I thought I would ask you all since you run the cars....

Talking wheel chatter..

have yet to have any problems with this happening.. might make sure he doesnt have too much play in A-arms at hindge pins.worn out ball studs, and also chk wheel bearings and shock shafts ( if shafts are worn this could happen ).. hope thing helps.. and make sure his tires dont have bad inserts .......which will cause this cuz the tires run out of round at high speed..

What pistons is he running? In my experience the 2s are less likely to chatter than the 3s.

Eric:

Hi,

I will send you some pics and some measurements as soon as I get back home. they should be close to the one I sent Jason.

RBLove:

Hi,

as for the chattering your friend is having with his B.M.I. chassis. we are running the setup posted back a few pages or I have gone to 70wt Assoc oil with #2 pistons and white springs and 50 wt assoc oil with#2 pistons and purple springs in stock class we run a .062 sway-bar up front with the F-0 block and 4 degree castor blocks.
in the rear we are runnng the "R" block with the R+2+o block with the 0 degree Losi hub carriers. we are running the Jaco double Pinks and Double Pink/Orange up front.

In mod I will change to the copper springs in the rear and the R+3+0 rear block.
Please have your friend e mail me about this problem at
[email protected]

Thanks for stopping by

hope to see you at the 4th leg of the USTC race.

Thanks
