Ok here is a quick pic of my BMI TC4. Quality of the new TC4 setup is 2nd to non. Legendary quality of BMI lives in this conversion. Like normal battery slots at tapered and no sanding needed. Love the way Jason has the chassis done for taping batts in so that the tape will not get cut since the chassis is milled just enough for tape not to hit the surface your running on.

Once again another top notch product put out by BMI.

where did you get your ariel mount from gaz?

gonna drop by CML stand to get one (fastrax make one) this sunday..and possibley pick up my yoko BD aswell

got chassis fitted......only a few things i have to 'moan' about

hope you can take constructive criticism Jason..its ok, nothing major

firstly, shims for the steering rack, i was sat there about 30 mins filling down the steering posts so the rack didn't have about 1.5mm of play in it, nothing major as i said, but some people may not want to sit there filing the posts.

secondly, ariel mount...i knew you didn't get one but somebody i was talking to was expecting there to be one in there....and they thought that somebody paying $155 (well thats normal price shipped to UK i think) should really get an ariel mount, they are only about 3/$3 afterall.

hmm, not criticising you any more but, whats the 2 countersuck holes for in the top deck? (in the middle, there are 2 next to each other)

no problem buddy.i can explain your difficulty.the steering rack is supposed to be shimmed with 3/16 shims.they are about $1.50 at your LHS.this needs to be done because the stock tub has spacers molded in.i was going to supply a spacer but could not find 2 steering racks that needed the same spacing.I NEVER USE AN ANTENNA MOUNT!!!! i drilled the hole so that an antenna tube slips in firmly.carbon fiber is very conductive.this is to keep the antenna wire insulated to avoid glitching.the 2 countersunk holes in the center of the top deck are for the soon to be released center support.i didnt feel it need it for most conditions.this may come in handy in extreme high bite conditions.

Thats exactly what I did with my TC4 chassis. The hole in the top plate
worked perfectly. When you use the shims, just make sure theres no binding
due to overtightening. This is my first BMI chassis and all I can say Jason
is "WOW" what an outstanding piece.

I believe these are the mounts that he was using. That or something very similar. These are also the ones I am using on my BMI Chassis.

It will be here before carpet season I am pretty sure of that.

Thanks and sorry for all the delays....My fault not Jason's!!

Sorry, that didn't come across right. I'm not hate'n, just a little eager and wanted Jason to see that there is a demand for a carpet chasiss for the BD. I'm still running carpet several times a month just to get my BD ready for this year. So my applolgies and keep up the good work, many of my buds have the TC3/4 conversions and they're awesome. Looking forward to hearing of future progress.

I found some nice spacers for under my steering rack. That was my only hang up til I found what I was looking for. Everything else fit perfect. I also did what Jason does with the antenna tbe in the top deck. The tube fit nice and snug and since I run a Spektrum it is a short tube at that.

Can't wait to run my car Saturday and see how it works. I expect it will be better than the last time I ran it.

nah decided against it.....bought more important things (ie bits from TiR and BMI )

new cam is next on the list though.

guess what, i just found out my 302f rx is bust ....power is getting to the servo it centresd and you can't move it, makes that dodgey noise when you try) but motor won't turn or servo won't move via transmitter.

put in a 297 reciever..works fine, so now got to work out whats up with it
