thanks
My MI2 chassis that I just got from BMI is 3700 capable, so I believe Jason is or will be doing the same for all the other chassis's.

Haven't followed this thread for a long time but would like to know if BMI will be releasing a chassis for the RDX.

Hey, all. The new asphalt BMI FK05 chassis is about to be released!

We just finished testing the chassis and after several revisions, we've finally nailed it.

With the changes made over the stock chassis, the car behaves in a far more balanced manner. The car now exhibits a lot more on-power steering and is absolutely sweet in sweepers. It also feels less prone to 'chuck' weight around. The previous chassis had a tendency to throw the weight forward too aggressively when entering a corner. It now behaves in a more balanced manner.

Also, the quality of the graphite that Jason uses keeps the car from the tweak issues that the stock chassis undoubtedly has. It's so nice to see that tweak bubble near center after simply setting ride heights.

The chassis also has several nice touches: recessed area for battery strapping tape, adjustable motor mount location for oversize/undersize pinions, machined out area underneath the f/r diffs for easy access, weight savings of approximately 0.4oz over stock config, that trick BMI look.

The list goes on and on...

I dont understand. Is it strictly designed for asphalt? Or for both carpet and asphalt????

You could use it for carpet as well, but we'll be testing out a thicker, carpet version in the next month or so and release two separate thicknesses. There's a really trick graphite Jason got in recently that is way too stiff for asphalt but should work great on carpet.

Any further thoughts, Jas?

the chassis layout will stay the same for carpet.i spoke with my carpet driver and he was extremely pleased with the chassis kit and said it rolled through the corners like a 1/12th scale.the car is very well balanced and with just minor changes i will be making to the car,it will be available within 2 weeks.i will be testing a thicker chassis but do not know yet if it will work any better.the car is extremely rigid when all the standoffs are in place.there is no longer any need to do bizarre actions such as removing bulkhead screws to get it to work on asphalt or and strange adjustments to get it to work on carpet.all adjustments work as they should now.

i would like to thank Jon Williams and Mike Mcdaniels for the thorough testing they have done with my FK05 kit.you guys played a big part in the success of this kit.thanks guys.
