Whooo Hooooo!!!

JRXS is pretty darn good already and I have only chnaged a handful of things on it. Yeah-I admit it-the FK05 right out of the box is awesome, the wide top deck seems to have made the three at the Gate even better-but I am right there on laptimes. I dont seem to be able to put 5 minutes together as fast as the Xrays-but thats me not the car I think.

Xray-Can I deny I might get one-of course not Why else would I still have my mega-buck-FULL Xray parts box with full out Team Tamale parts, tuning bits....

btw-I love you guys,
Ray

Default It would be nice to get rid of the stand offs.....

it would be more appealing to me. What about milling the motor area like the stock one? Otherwise it looks good. I do like the RDX upper deck design.

Jason, I just got that deck in UPS. I'll give it a try this weekend and I'll let you know how it works. Thanks.

thanks guys.the chassis is coming along real well.

john, keep me posted on the top deck dude

RC Knight,as i stated earlier with the pics,i didnt finish the chassis yet.i just assembled it to double check the whole locations.i still need to pocket under the motor, bevel the battery slots bevel spur gear clearance pocket and pocket under the bulkheads.its almost done though.as for the top deck standoffs, that actually helps the car to not get tweaked.the bulkheads are under alot of load and the wide bracing helps alot.this is the route i took over 2 years ago with the release of my tc3 chassis.if you like you can always remove the standoffs.

the changes i made to the chassis are that i made the tape slots also fit battery strap standoffs and the included battery brace.i changed the battery strap today and i will post a new pic of the finalized kit real soon.i made the motor mount adjustable so you can slide it forward and backward.it also will fit 3300,3600,and 3700 cells.i moved the motor mount out 1mm to help with balance and save your spur gear.i am including nice standoffs instead of the barbell looking ones along with battery strap standoffs.i will be making infinately adjustable shock towers for the car similar to the ones i did on the Mi2.i will keep you posted on any further enhancements.

thanks for looking guys

Jay, simply beautiful! Can't wait to pick up another BMI. Are these going to be able to be spec built in different thickness for the top deck. Extra charge of course.

in case you were wondering why the bulkheads are not recessed, its because this kit(my personal proto)is made from 2.5mm carbon fiber.i am going to test 2.5 and 3mm.i am trying this new style of c/f that is more rigid that what i usually use.i need to make sure its not brittle.
