it s quite an old TC3, but you can really see the bearing compress so it s just a matter of removing a litttle material..

However nitrojohnny s fix will probably work fine, although i must make sure i have no play in the spur gear

My experience having built a couple of these chassis, BMI, along with several different rear-input bearing caps is all in the shimming. Having built the cars with the stock plastic, IRS aluminum and a Tobee Craft aluminum bearing cap, it all boils down to having both bearings properly shimmed. Both the stock plastic and the Tobee Craft have a recessed area that holds the bearing and if either the front or rear bearing is not aligned properly it will put side loads on the bearing when you tighten them up. Take some time and purchase an extra shim set and get it in perfect alignment, all of mine are tightened down and have zero slop and no binding.

Can anyone help me out in Blueprinting the drivetrain correctly?

rc,cool.maybe i will see you there.
i am working on the blueprinted tranny now.most people just sand the bearing seats.some helicoil the cases.i tried helicoils 3years ago and they didnt work.i used them in nitro with bob astarita.we both ripped them clear out of the cases.bob actually came up with the fix for the nitro car and we have been making them for 3 years now to bullitproof the nitro trannys.i am looking to design a tool kit for blueprinting the cases.it should be available at the beginning of the new year.
